Community: The Ink Well | All my life, I had always known that I was living with a borrowed heart. The little scar beside my heart was a daily reminder for me whenever I stood naked in front of the mirror. It was like the shape of a crescent moon, visibly glaring at me. It was a daily reminder that I was living with the heart of a boy who I never met but only heard about while I was finally out of the sick bed ... |
Community: The Ink Well | "How long has it been"? Elara thought to herself as she stared at the ceiling while she lay still on the bed, listening to the daily news from her humming radio. The voice on the radio wasn't too clear, but it was good enough to hear what the presenter was saying. "I should have helped him, I should have" Elara murmured as she closed her eyes to reminisce on what happened the previous day ... |
Community: The Ink Well | As he drove past, he saw her. He immediately stepped on the brakes, and the car forcefully screeched to a stop. Then he threw the car door open and ran into the street, but he couldn't find her again. He walked to the end of the road and returned back, but he couldn't find her anywhere ... |

Community: Hive Learners | Tipping culture is very common in recent days. The culture started long ago, but the mentality of humans has changed a lot in this case. In earlier times, naturally rich people used to tip others when they were satisfied with their service. It was like an unexpected gift for those who received tips ... |
Community: Photography Lovers | Yes I was at Picton again last week Friday but I dare not stop as I had to finish work as soon as possible I do six hours drive to Christchurch and a five and half hours drive to Wanaka the following day. Yes, you are right, work has been hectic! Now that I have a breather, here are photos and a video of my stroll at Picton Harbor on a day when I was fortunate not to be rushing for work ... |

Community: Silver Bloggers | While driving home from running errands today, I found myself thinking about the final few times I got to see my Auntie back in Denmark. Each time the visit would come to a close and I would be getting ready to leave to come back to the USA, I would say a thorough goodbye to her because I was acutely aware that it might be the last time I would see her. Perhaps that sounds a bit morbid but as we get up in age, the chance is always there that we might not see a person we only visit sporadically again. The last time I saw my auntie in Denmark was just before her 93rd birthday ... |
Community: Freewriters | This is my post for freewriters 2558 prompt not very original hosted by @mariannewest I know this post is not very original because I have written about Rudy many times. I can not help but write about him because he has a big part of my heart and I know one day he will be gone and I want to look back on my posts about him and smile when I read the things he did. If you are reading my post for the first time. I first want to thank you, but also give you a little info about Rudy ... |

Community: Hive Gaming | If you haven't read my Initial D Street Stage post, then you may want to give it a read if you don't know about either that game or this game since there is stuff I already explained there related to this game. This is because Street Stage is a PSP port of this game here, which was released on the SEGA NAOMI 2 arcade board resulting in a beefy looking game for the time If you know more than the surface of racing games during or after the 90s, you probably know how useful steering with precision can be to take lines carefully without having to twitch the stick Note that the car and transmission you choose will be locked if you create a profile card only after 50 plays with it you will have to renew the card and allow you to the transmission and customization parts, but you can't change your car. So this is what Manual Transmission is about A well known aspect of SEGA arcade racers is their favoring for Manual Transmission you can play most of them in Automatic but there's always at least one special advantage of playing with Manual. An advantage that isn't specifically tied to better speed control with gears and how in most of those games, you are given a higher top speed for your troubles ... |
Community: Gaming Photography | Greetings my dear brothers and sisters who love the wonderful world of video games, welcome to my publication. Today I share with you the next chapter of GTA IV, where this time I had the opportunity to handle a helicopter for the first time, it was very complicated to do it, but after a while I began to understand it to the point of handling it a little well, but before that I had to ride in a fast car to reach it and wait for it to land so I can steal it, because Edward wants to use it later in a much more complicated mission for Niko. After eliminating another drug dealer, mission given by Francis, previously I was in the building where I used the sniper rifle to kill that guy that Francis felt would be a problem, the cops arrived to join the party and I already had 3 levels of search, since the noise of the gun attracted them, I had to kill everyone who crossed my path. I made my way little by little until I was out of the building and the cops had calmed down, it was as if nothing had happened, as I only needed to leave the building to take the mission as finished ... |
Community: Gaming Photography | In my last post, I talked about some dangers that I faced in the University when I was looking for the Fireflies. I even faced a Bloater who ripped Joel's face twice. And now when we reached someone thinking there'd be Fireflies, we found a skeleton only with a recording saying, "they've all left". We found an open window that we could use to get inside the glass building and maybe find the Fireflies but that door was not opening ... |

Community: Photography Lovers | The third day of our mini trip started with a walk at the part of the old town that we had missed the previous day. The Venetian lighthouse was glowing under the wonderful sunshine and we were grateful to say goodbye to this lovely town under the best possible weather! I have never actually lived in Chania but I have spent a fair amount of time there, both for work as well as for vacation. So I have a pretty good idea about the quality of life and the beauties that it has to offer and I am always glad to return, even for a little while :) As visitors are less and less every day that passes this time of the year, walking around the town is much more agreeable than in the middle of the summer ... |
Community: Black And White | The weekend is bringing out of me some abstract visuals. Probably I have mentioned before my long going "Smoke and Hard Light" studio photographic project. Let me start with "The Birth" The rest of the works are untitled. You probably know by now how much I love Black & White or sometimes referred as Monochromatic photography ... |
Community: Worldmappin | As soon as I figured out the purpose of all those fruit filled tables and on which days they were set up, I started looking forward to the next opportunity to photograph Cúng Rằm. The offerings on the last new moon were noticeably more modest so I began counting down the days until the next full moon to go out with my camera and document this beautiful tradition. With this in mind, I went for a walk on November 14, 2024, on the eve of the full moon. If anyone missed my post from a month ago, Cung Ram is a Vietnamese tradition of making offerings to the deceased on the day of the full moon (and the new moon too) ... |
