Damn, these ships, after seeing so many shared by you guys (the OGs, haha) I've started to love them more and more. Yet I only have one coin with a ship on it, and I yet have to share it. It's definitely not as pretty as these above.

It's fun to read some more Dutch history in silver content here on Hive because when I was in school, I found history the most boring classes we had and never really paid much attention so most history I learned was by my own later in life when I watched documentaries by choice rather than being pushed certain things they wanted us to learn in school.

PS in addition to my other reply when you wrote about a thrift store, go for it, I think with your knowledge and stories you tell, you'd make a lovely host of such a store! I know I'd love to visit one like that myself knowing that the owner probably has tons of stories to share about many items, making it more interesting to buy them.

I miss thrift stores so much! Best I got is a flea market at the other coast because ours is truly junk only. It's been forever since I bought something at our local one.

I think my admiration of sailing ships started from working off fishing boats in my young busy summers and the arrival of a training sailing ship at the Vancouver harbor. I think Canadian history was dull too, as if it was made dull on purpose, a theory I still mull about. Now I learned more history on YouTube than I ever did at school. !LOL

Having a small store front Thrift store business would keep me busy and for fun I worked out some of the logistics, funding and capitalization. Lots of leasing spaces are available but very expensive even at subprime and inconvenient locations so far. It would be an extension for a church single parent family ministry meaning non-profit. It’s a dream of the month for the last few months pending my recovery time. @thisismylife
