It's really exciting to read research about Music. As a music lover, I love learning more about music, so lately I have been reviewing multiple scientific studies on music almost every day and I share the most interesting ones with you here.

Wherever you are, at a party, celebration, or club, the rhythm of music often moves our bodies. Especially in some music, we can't help but dance. Even though I'm not a good dancer, I get caught up in the rhythm of the music and find myself dancing. Normally, I thought that boosting the bass would increase our desire to dance, but in a study, scientists say that dropping the bass will make us dance more.

Researchers from Canada and Germany conducted a study to find out how different qualities of music affect the body. In the research, a live electronic music concert was turned into a laboratory study. And they measured the audience's movements by turning very low frequency speakers on and off and using motion capture. And they found that when the bass was dropped, audience dancing increased by 12%. Although the rate is not very high, this is a really interesting study because it says that boosting the bass will not boost our dancing. If you want to take a look at the entire research, here is the link to the research.

Frankly, I love music very much and my body moves involuntarily while listening to music, as a result, this is a reaction of my body to the music I listen to. Also, even though I can't dance very well, some music boosts my desire to dance. I don't know whether the high or low bass increases or decreases my dancing, as it is not possible for me to test this personally. However, I will observe my friends' reaction to the music when the bass is high or low, and I am very curious about the result.

Enjoy the music and stay with Love.

Question of the Day : What do you think of the research? If you don't have an answer to this question, You can talk about your favorite song or anything related to music in your comment.

They researched how different qualities of music affects people? That simply doesn't make sense to me... who decides what is high quality music and what is not? The research used electronic dance music, something I'm not very fond of. Does that mean it is low quality? No, of course not. I think very few people dance to Gregorian chants, but that doesn't make the chants low quality either!

Count me in for a chance at the starbits, please :)

@henruc

This highlights the complexity of music perception and suggests that different qualities of music can have varying effects on our physical responses.

Congratulations @middle-earthling! Count me in for another round, please! Thank you so very much!

That's very interesting that lowering the bass stimulates the desire to dance. Certain music definitely gives a much stronger impetus to dance, that is for sure. 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙

I think it's interesting but I don't think I can say much about it. I don't dance much.

I am not aware about this research. Also, increase or decrease doesn't affect me as i cannot dance.
But good to know, will keep an eye :-)

Certain frequencies have certain effect on our bodies. As the songs goes, "the boom phenomenon" and "its all about the bass"
