The best laid plans can still go wrong. Sorry it was at your expense. Seeing a tall man walking around in a short trousers must have been quite a sight. Hopefully now you can look backk and smile about it. This was not a nice experience for you but like you said unfortunate experiences can occur and now you have learn a lesson.
