I agree it comes from childhood. I found that the busyness served as an escape from the traumas experienced as a child. Sort of a protective mechanism. Like a bee, in order to keep going, we get high on whatever "pollen" we find works for us.

Yes, and at least the bees do it with healthy products 😄, while we humans, whatever we use, is always destructive. Both for the psyche and for the body. Maybe that was the original goal anyway - to destroy ourselves one way or another, sooner or later. Or we just haven't reached the wisdom of the bees...
