RE: Are You a Bookworm?

I'm definitely a bookworm, but I HATE physical books. And that all of my life. But as I was a child, there was no alternative, so I had to use them. I went to the library and borrowed books and as soon as I finished them, I went again. I never was a book hoarder. As I said, I never liked physical books. The only time I had some of my own was when I walked home with my granny (from her home to mine) and we passed a house and in front of it stood many boxes with books. Mostly children's books for girls 😁 We took as much as we could and later my granny went back and picked up the rest. So I had lots of books to read. But after I read them I put them in boxes and my mom sold them on fleamarkets. I don't read books twice so I have no use for them after I read them. And I hate the smell, it makes me sick. So I'm so happy since the invention of ebooks. Now I can have thousands and they don't need any space 😁 and I definitely have always a book with me, because I don't leave my house without my phone 😁 I only buy ebooks when they are on sale for around 99cents. I saved over 1,000€ last year thanks to the library and Kindle Unlimited although I bought a new tablet and over 200 books (mostly bundles with 10 or 20 books for only 99cents, but I'm counting every book, not the bundles). This year I'm saving less because I'm reading more of the books I've bought. But I still read a few freebies and so I save a little 😁
Oh! Look what I've got. It is really lovely that you read alot.
Yes, I read around 150-200 books a year. Last year I read many comics and mangas and lots of children's books and altogether it was 650 books 🙈 And it helped a lot with my English learning 😊
I forgot to add that I misplaced a lot of books too. Especially the ones that were not mine :)
E-books are safer and I can understand why you love them.
Thanks for stopping by.
