Hi, dear fellow coffee lovers!

image.png

I can't believe that I'm starting the coffee conversation in this round. It must be because I'm not traveling to work this weekend. More free time, more Hive time.

For many, coffee is fuel when it comes to having energy to work. For me, coffee is more like a companion. Right now it's after 10:30 at night, and I'm alternating between Hive and some writing on my computer. How I wish I didn't depend so much on its presence; if my coffee cup isn't next to me, my neurons get shy and this implies that I can drink many cups a day, especially after 5 pm. I don't know whether to break up with my neurons or with my nightly cups of coffee. I have tried switching to tea and sometimes it works, but I must say that my nightly caffeine habit has proven to be relapsing and resistant. I'm probably helpless.

Sometimes, like right now, I add some vegetable milk, to my coffee to make it gentler on my stomach. This time I added coconut milk I made this morning. I tell myself this is not real coffee to make myself feel less guilty, ha ha ha ha.

You've already opened the debate, the time has come for a pleasant conversation, let the gossip begin, hehehe.

As coffee drinkers we do risk becoming addicted to the flavor and caffeine of the dark lover. I think it would also change the dependence on coffee.

That coffee looks delicious and it's the first time I've heard of coconut milk being added to it. My curiosity makes me imagine what the flavor of coffee would be with that combination 🤔

Thank you for leaving your comment, I leave you a cup of delicious coffee.☕

Happy weekend!

Depending on good coffee puts us in a dangerous place. What happens when there is only bad coffee? Will we give in?--I've actually been there, and I had to switch to tea 😵

Sometimes I put vegetable milk in my coffee; I like to make the milks myself and make lattes with cashew milk, almond milk, and coconut milk mostly. But really, my coffee is always or almost always black.

Very interesting is how to make the milk yourself, I don't really consume milk because of the lactose, but I have been told that plant-based milk does not have that discomfort effect. I am going to try!

Happy Saturday with a delicious coffee ☕

Lactose! That's the reason why I make my own milk. I could buy vegetable milk, but it's too expensive for me and not as delicious as homemade. The easiest to make is with cashews; you let them soak for two hours, rinse them, and then add water--I add a little salt, cinnamon, and vanilla--and process them in the blender. No bagasse left.

It is only since the 2000s that good coffee has been commonly available in the US; I remember one of my best friends in the 90s was the first to start drinking coffee when we were teenagers and the coffee was still mostly bad. I could tell how good or bad it was based on how much sugar and creamer she put in it. 😂 One time she put in 4 packets of sugar and I was like, "Wow, if it's that bad, why are you drinking it??" LOL

...the unfathomable mysteries of bad coffee 😂🤣

You're lucky to live in this era when coffee is ubiquitous, though I know you have to pay a lot for good coffee.

I actually love having a cup of coffee next to me when I'm casually browsing through HIVE or thinking hard on writing a blog post! Makes the whole process a lot more enjoyable, don't you think!

100%!!!

I just hope my doctor never says I can't have coffee anymore! I know I should moderate my caffeine intake a bit now, so that the doctor doesn't forbid me coffee when I'm old and more in need of it than ever to drag my cane 😂 I need coffee to keep my spirits!

I'm sure I've seen that word in the comment posters by the @cinnccf team. It's a beautiful portmanteau anyway; love it. Makes sound like dessert.

I don't think you'll be dragging the cane, rather, you'll be dragging others to dance with you to the rhythm of good music accompanied by a good coffee maybe with some liquor hahaha!

It is true that its consumption should be moderated because as a drug it creates addiction, but those of us who like coffee find it hard to resist its flavor and its permanent stimulus. Happy week. Cheers and greetings.

Well, yesterday I had five cups of coffee. Today, only two. I call that moderation 😁

Hahahahahaha.
That's what we tell ourselves to take care of ourselves and self-deception in the best way.
In any case, it is true that from 5 to 2 there is a good reduction.
We should also look at the size of the two cups consumed.
Happy week and long live coffee. Cheers and greetings.

I'd take a guess and go for the average. 🤔

Yes, you're probably right. When I had an office to go, I had many mor cups a day, but they were tiny paper cups filled with awful coffee. Now I work from home mostly, and I have less cups a day now. But coffee at home is always better for me.

But coffee at home is always better for me.

Recently the experience has been quite the same for me as well, I'd rather have my coffee at home. That is why my café visits aren't as common nowadays.

Coffee is a great companion for Hiving hehe. I more than agree with that. But in my case, I don't think I need it as an energy boost except in the mornings and even then I think in the last few weeks that I've been drinking fewer cups a day, I'm improving in that aspect as well.

Coffee is not a dependency for me but a good companion, I think.

I tell myself this is not real coffee to make myself feel less guilty, ha ha ha ha.

I'm sorry, but I think you're kidding yourself. 😂

It's good that you see it that way because all excesses are bad. In the case of coffee, it becomes an addiction if we don't know how to control it. In my case I try not to drink so much, but there are days when I drink too much. Happy week. Cheers and greetings

There was a time I used to drink a lot of coffee when I did office work away from home. But then, nothing in excess benefits our health, right? So it's better to enjoy what we like in moderation.

Have a great week ☕️😄

As much as we like things, moderation is important because too much is harmful to our health. Happy week. Cheers and greetings.

WOW!
I have never read, let alone heard of, anyone making the combination of coffee with coconut milk.
I'm not saying it's bad, just that I was surprised. I have to try it and if I like it, maybe it will change my relationship with coffee.
If a pretty girl does something like this, the thing must not be bad.
Reading that you drink coffee in the evenings, reminded me of when I was in college. Also, when I had night shifts in a lab, I worked in. Those nights were black coffee in industrial quantities.
I was amazed at the coconut milk that I love.

You must try it! I was the most skeptical about adding vegetable milk to my coffee, but now I've completely changed my mind--always that it's a quality milk, homemade preferably.

You're so kind! Try coconut milk macchiato or latte. I'm sure you're you're going to love it.

Delight your palate like a God.

You should definitely watch her videos then mate! You'll see a HELL LOT more added to coffee than coconut milk 😂

I don’t remember her channel name, just "cacanut milk girl" on youtube.

This was a great start to the convo 🤗
I've never tried coconut milk in my coffee, but I've heard of it. At home, it's always black, and when I go out, I tend to go for a cappuccino or a latte.
You always look so fresh-faced. Is it the caffeine that brings out that great presence?
Edit: This is @millycf1976. I'm gonna switch to my account. This was an error from the community account:)

Oh, merciful Coffee Goddess, it must be the air conditioning on at full power that keeps my face fresh, hehe.

We've learned from mythology books that deities may take different identities when they descend to earth...

Coconut milk is our favorite at home for coffee, but my coffee is black most of the time, at home or at the coffee shop.
