Making my family's favorite black sticky rice pandan cake

Hello everyone, a few days ago I made black sticky rice pandan cake, but I was late posting it because suddenly my body didn't feel well, my head was dizzy and it turned out I was tired. So I just had time to write another blog at Foodies Bee Hive.

Immediately I made my family's favorite black sticky rice pandan cake. This cake is still at the top of my family's list because everyone likes this cake.

This cake is very easy to make. I remember some time ago I also shared that I was making the same cake, but the recipe I shared was of course different. This time I perfected the recipe to make it even tastier. Of course, the way to make it is quite easy.

I don't know whether friends out there can find pandan leaves or not, but in Indonesia there are lots of pandan leaves and usually we can use them for cakes, traditional snacks and we can also use them as aromatics in cooking. Pandan is known as Asian vanilla even though the price of pandan leaves is cheap. This time I used pandan paste to make it more practical and simple.

Let's go straight to the black sticky rice pandan sponge recipe that I made. Materials that need to be prepared.


INGREDIENTS A


4 fresh eggs
35 grams of sugar (if you like it sweet, you can increase the amount of sugar)
¼ tsp baking powder
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp ovalet / Emulsifier


BLACK Sticky Rice Dough INGREDIENTS


85 grams of black sticky rice flour
38 grams of sweetened condensed milk
50 ml vegetable oil


PANDAN DOUGH INGREDIENTS


70 grams of wheat flour
½ tsp Vanilla extract
38 grams of sweetened condensed milk
50 ml vegetable oil
½ tsp pandan paste


HOW TO MAKE CAKE


• make dough a first by adding all the ingredients in a clean container, then mixing at high speed with a hand mixer for 7 minutes until the dough is pale white and thick.

• Once the dough is pale and light, it means the dough is ready to use. Divide it into 2 equal parts, I took 120 grams of dough

• make black sticky rice dough, take dough a which has been divided into 2 then add black sticky rice flour, sweetened condensed milk and vegetable oil, stir using the back-stirring method using a spatula, make sure no oil settles at the bottom of the dough because the dough can become sticky.

• make pandan dough, do the same thing by mixing flour, vanilla, sweetened condensed milk, vegetable oil and pandan paste into mixture a then stir again with a spatula until all the ingredients are mixed and there are no oil deposits at the bottom of the mixture.

• prepare cake molds, I use 9 small molds, grease the molds with oil then pour the sticky rice and pandan mixture alternately until the mixture is finished.

• steam the cake for 15 minutes or until cooked, don't forget to cover the lid of the pan with a clean cloth so that no water vapor drips into the mixture.

• Black sticky rice pandan sponge cake is ready to be served.

The taste of this cake is sweet but not too sweet, perfect when served with black coffee or tea. If you are interested, you can try making it at home.

This cake tastes very delicious, you could say this is one of my favorites. But I can't make it, if I want to eat then I will buy ready-made cake.

We are use of cooking sticky rice here but never as cake!
