RE: Ocean Wonders at the Dolphinarium, HK

I know this was a super attraction in Hong Kong and greatly loved by kids. I DO wonder what is happening there as the expats and the tourist culture are literally imploding. I saw stats recently that 53,000 expats had permanently left HK in May 2022. Quite a few of them have relocated here to Thailand, and a lot of them to Singapore.
I'm not a fan of animal tourism and just really hope that these dolphins get to swim free-ish and are not cooped up in tiny tanks for the rest of their lives.

Oh, I have not read any news concerning HK these days. There might be something weird going on that a lot of expats are going away from the country.
This got me and made me wonder now why certain parks can do that, take whatever animal they can and make them part of their place's attractions.
A HUGE number of the expats who WERE in HK are leaving due to the massively increased social controls and extreme covid lockdowns. I have a friend just moved to Hua Hin who lived there for 16 years and finally said, "enough!!" She's against the social controls of Chinese government. Her expat parents who had lived in HK for 30 years plus also have now left.
What a shame... I thought HK is different but I wouldn't really know because we never lived there, just occasional visits in the past years. Guess your friend did the right choice, moving away from the country if freedom is compromised.
