Hope, under the water - Tell A Story To Me
Through the thick glass window her face was covered with tears, remembering how she played with her mother when she was a child feeling the sun in her skin and how her father cared for her with such affection since her mother died; but now she only saw water, fish, waste, abuse, injustice, loneliness and slavery.
"Damned water," said Giselle crying disconsolately like a child, as her body slid between the glass and the metal, collapsing completely, that silent cry coming out of the soul and the fear that could be seen in her hands trembling with fear.
The door opened, her blue eyes were out of control, the black circles beneath her eyes revealed the time she has without a good night's sleep.
"How's my little doll?" - said the man with that twisted look and a few items in his hands.
"Let's play for a while" - happily showing him what he had in his hands.
"If you behave yourself, I won't hit you with this" - Pointing to the trouser strap.
Giselle watched her punisher approach as her tears slipped ceaselessly and silently.
Giselle had a virtue much coveted by women, but in those conditions she hated her, her beauty!, she looked like an angel, her perfect face, her eyes as big and blue as the sky in spring, her white skin, her black and straight hair, her sweet voice, her beautiful figure; it was the desired treasure that was imprisoned by the cruel and sadistic Tildo.
They hit something, it was dawn, Giselle got up quickly, she changed her clothes, she didn't care about the pains in her body, all she wanted was to feel the sun and the breeze, she waited for them to warn as always that they were coming to one of the islands.
"Earth, seed island," they said loudly.
She opened the door of her room, this room was special had only two ways to open, with Giselle's fingerprint or with the master key.
When the door was opened he was out there, with the key in his hands about to use it, and Giselle looked at him shaking.
"Little doll, be careful what you say, otherwise all your friends will die immediately, so you are responsible for the lives of those inept ones," said Tildo as he touched his head and went away laughing.
In the room there were some friends of Giselle's family, some preferred not to approach her to avoid the consequences, others, those who proved to be friends regardless of the circumstances when they saw her embrace her.
"We miss you friend"
Lionel approached her with wet eyes embraced her and placed a small piece of paper in her hand.
Some men and women came out to the surface, among them was Giselle, she looked towards the sky, and with her hands caressed the earth of that island, there were plants of all kinds, mainly fruit trees, it was inhabited by the people that Arkship's™ rescued before the situation presented in the earth, Arkship's™ built the aquatic ship where she spent her life since the water covered almost in its totality to the earth.
Twelve years ago some scientists spoke of the end of the world due to the melting of the poles, and some wealthy people took their precautions, one of them was Mr. Gregor Loimax who along with Neil Blump, Rich Pitt and Antonello Cristol ordered to build wonderful aquatic ships with all the comforts and luxuries to live and explore the new surface, called Arkship, and just as they existed other groups around the world that made their own aquatic machines to live and take advantage of the whole situation.
"Miss Giselle, what do you have, why are you so pale?" asked Marlon, one of the inhabitants who worked on the island.
"Marlon, get back to work," shouted a member of the island's security team; they guarded the island night and day, fully armed.
The inhabitants of the island had to work in exchange for their lives, they gave them a quantity of food to keep them alive, but the ration was small, the rapes and humiliations seemed to be the diversion of the security men, they did not allow pregnancies, if any woman became pregnant she had to have an abortion or they killed the child at birth, they could not take the fruits or they were severely punished.
"Goodbye Miss Loimax, take care of yourself" said a sad farewell to Mr. Marlon.
"See you later," replied Giselle.
She went around the place seeing with astonishment how everything had changed since her father died, previously everyone worked with joy in exchange for a good payment, clothes, shoes and a place to live, now they are blackmailed, exploited and abused, but that more could be expected from Tildo, he was the right hand of her father, his lawyer, who when he died took absolute control of everything in a ruthless way and established a regime of injustices and deficiencies.
Giselle took the opportunity to read the paper by Lionel, "I have a plan I'll see you in the cinema, seat 22".
Giselle thought that she better not go to the appointment, she did not want to endanger his friend, in that another ship arrived from Arkship's™ and immediately the security team had his surrounded, it was the second of four ships, each partner stayed with a ship and used it exploring and conquering land surfaces that were irrigated by the world and with the resources they had in their ships managed to sow, raise and reproduce some animals, were really powerful.
From the ship came out Rich Pitt Junior, a young heir, when Giselle watched him arrive she was deeply happy, she hurried.
"Rich" said Gisellle as she waved, but in that Tildo was already by her side with two back guards that accompanied him almost everywhere.
"Dear friend what a pleasant surprise, what brings you here?" asked Tildo.
"I came close to this island and remembered my father's best friend and her beautiful daughter."
"How are you, Giselle?" Taking Giselle's hand, he kissed her.
"Well, what about you?"
"Excellent now that I see you, and your father?" "My father..." went in tears and immediately Tildo embraced her.
"Mr. Gregor died five months ago, he was weakened, and none of the doctors could help him recover, and he left us in peace," Tildo said.
"It's very sad to hear this, Giselle" and tried to caress her head but Tildo moved Giselle avoiding any physical contact with her.
Rich watching him with mistrust "and how do you carry so many responsibilities Giselle?"
"As the family lawyer I assumed all the responsibilities according to the will of the late Gregor, and I know that Miss Giselle has no head for anything at this time" and Giselle was completely silent still wiping her tears.
Rich decided to stay a little longer, observed how Tildo had control over everything, and sought the opportunity to talk alone with Giselle but it was impossible, he saw that there were many armed men guarding the island, seemed to have terrorized the inhabitants there.
Giselle told Tildo that she wanted to see a movie in the movie theater, he let her go with two back guards, the two guards checked the theater from afar and didn't see anyone, they stayed in the entrance; she sat in the 21 seat and found a small package in the side seat that said on the outside "Use it, don't doubt it", her hands trembled when seeing the contents, she hid it and took it away.
Rich had the opportunity to talk a little with some of Giselle's friends, among them Lionel who despite his young age was always brave and capable of anything for Giselle.
"Fucking Tildo took over everything, even Giselle," thought Rich on his way to his ship, he was upset, furious and left.
"Miss I have the results," said Nahis.
"Come, let's talk in the laboratory" replied Giselle.
Giselle had been feeling bad lately and had turned to her friend Nahis who works in the medical room.
"You're pregnant Giselle".
Giselle became pale, cold and nervous, asked Nahis to do an echogram, she was three months pregnant, the baby was fine and it was a girl. Giselle recovered immediately, looking like another, with a safe attitude, as if an inner force made her react.
"Nahis, without anyone seeing you, tell Lionel that I'll wait for him in the library".
The library is the only place where you never see a man of security, usually goes only Giselle to feel apart from everything, her father sent to make a replica of the library they had at home, where Giselle's mother used to read much of her time. Giselle took a very special book for her and, crying, read the dedication "For my daughter who can do anything, like Alice in Wonderland. I love you, your mother," was one of the last books Amanda gave her before she died of cancer.
I was waiting for him and when she saw him arrive she was excited, "Lionel, I need your help!" she hugged him.
They sat down and told her everything she had to live in the hands of the horrible Tildo, Lionel for his part gave her good news, that a group of people inside the ship have managed to organize themselves and are armed, and even some security men are on her side because they recognize her as the legitimate heiress of everything, and have helped them to get weapons and are just waiting for the order to proceed. Lionel took care of planning and she accepted her part.
Giselle was in her room looking through the thick glass window, everything was clear outside thanks to the night lights of the ship, she observed a group of fish together as if they were a family, caressed her belly and remembered her mother, how tender and good she always was with her.
"You will be called Hope and I will not allow anything bad to happen to you.
She heard the sound of the door, nervously closing the metal curtain of the window so that everything would be dark.
Shots were heard in Gisella's room and at the same time a wave of shots started in the outside; when everything calmed down Giselle went out with the gun in her hand, shaking, and outside some of her friends were waiting for her.

Thanks to the people of @bananafish and @calluna for this wonderful contest Tell A Story To Me - Water World
I hope Tildo wasn't Killed. Bad people like that shouldn't die through a gunshot. It's too fast and painless. It's nice to find out that Giselle escaped his torture and abuse, but the child she's carrying will always remind her of the past.
Nice story. You actually got me glued to the end.
A mother's love is superior to anything, and you can see that Giselle is a good girl, she preferred to suffer in silence so as not to put anyone else in danger, however her love for her baby made her react and see her reality, and she had to change her present to give a better future to her baby. Good story. It only takes one act of bravery to end oppression and those close to the oppressor are the most suitable, yet unfortunately the least brave, to end the misery of the majority.
You're absolutely right. Thank you for commenting

ehy dear @vida-blanca, beautiful story !! I must confess that I did not think in a happy ending, even though I knew that the fragility of giselle was only apparent !! fortunately she had close friends who gave her the strength to react to the dictator and defend her daughter at the same time. friendship always pays :-))
Thank you, I consider that love is the invisible force so powerful that it leads you to great transformations :-))
Even in the serious danger of a climate catastrophe, the thirst for power makes some human trying to prevaricate over the others. But he who sows the wind picks up a storm, and Giselle takes her revenge on her abuser.
I really hope that she would share the command and the propriety of the means of survival with all the mankind!
P.S. Congratulations for the Curie!
I believe in the kindness that exists in Giselle and I am sure that she will know how to help those who can with the resources she has.
So Giselle killed Tildo? That's what I think. She was unlucky the lawyer betrayed her family, but I thought Rich Jnr will help. Don't known if he did.

I'm glad Giselle got the push she needed to fight back. An exciting story!
She was immersed in the sadness and hopelessness of feeling alone; love leads you to think from life and hope for a better future. Thank you for reading and commenting
I really love that you have taken the prompt as a backdrop, for a story of finding courage, and strength, of standing up to oppression and the abuse of power. The imagery in your opening paragraph is just so powerful. The water, the glass, the tears, you create a connection between the three straight away, tying Giselle’s emotions to her situation, and reflecting it back through the water. The strength of the dymanic between her and Tildo, the way he mixes ‘indulgence’ and abuse, you capture the realism of that very well, how people in power use both small kindnesses and strong abuse as a means of control. The way her refers to her as little doll, and the connections of possession that comes with it, it’s both emotionally captivating and chilling. The intention of the Arkship, so well set, having gone so wrong under the guidance of someone having seized the void of power, shows so much of this world, lamenting of what is compared to what was such a short time ago. The concept here is just brilliant as well, the idea of the wealthy being able to purchase a generational place on an Arkship, others being able to work on the small scraps of land, labouring in return for a place of sanctuary. It seems so believable, and the idea that overtime, the possibility of corruption would arise fits in well. I thought, when Rich turned up, he would be her hero, and she would marry him and he would rescue her from her oppressor. I really appreciate that wasn’t how the story went, and instead, we saw that Giselle has come into her own, through Lionel we get a hint that she has been finding herself, and her confidence, and is teetering on the point of being able to stand up to Tildo. I love that instead of being her hero, Rich serves as her cover, allowing her to go into the cinema and retrieve what’s been left for her. She is already trying to find the courage. Then the finale, her discovery of being pregnant, creating a sense of urgency, the last of her hesitations slip away, and she is able to go through with it. The story you tell only plays out over the course of a day or so, but we get to feel Giselle’s growth since she lost her father, her loneliness and heartbreak, her sorrow and anger at what she has to endure - and is prepared to for the sake of others. But then seeing what has happened to what her father had built, and that what she suffers at the hands of Tildo isn’t enough to spare others from the same fate as long as he is there. Her anger, and with it her courage, is compounded as the story goes. Somehow, I think she will create a wonderful, fair and safe, place for her child to grow up. There is a depth here in personal growth and discovery that is really inspiring.
Thank you, I deeply appreciate your comments. I'm glad you liked my story.
