Updates
I've been deeply focused on my SDS (Steem Data Service) development lately and am currently tweaking and trying out different setups. A few days ago I installed a new data server, which will be used to deliver the already parsed blocks and block indices in a fast and easy way to other SDS instances.
The required time for planing/developing the services, parsing, compressing the blocks (own compression + xz) and testing the resulting data is massive, but I'm making good progress. I changed the number of blocks per file from 100,000 to 10,000, because it's easier to provide/xz the updates in smaller block archives. When an instance is 30,000 blocks behind, it only needs to download the latest three block archives, update the block indices and voila, we are nearly there ;)
There were a number of lessons to be learned and I even needed to re-compress all blocks again (which sucks)², but at least I now have an external solution for faster exchanging the data, so that from now on I can make all testing on a dedicated machine instead of my local one.
My recent morning routine looks like:
- Go SteemWorld.
- See VP is at 100%.
- No time to read any posts.
- Go Feed and make votes in 'Chaos Mode'.

Caching Posting/Memo Keys
As I wrote in my last post:
The Posting/Memo Keys are now being cached in your browser's local storage (encrypted), so that you don't need to enter them again after reloading the site. All 'higher' keys are never being cached anywhere and I improved the checking routine in the Input Dialog to make sure that people don't use their Owner/Active Key in places where only the Posting Key is required.
If you don't want to use the new caching feature, there is now a new option to be found in Settings:

Sometimes there is just not enough time @steemchiller, and that's really OK... you can't be all things at all time. I have been working for myself for almost 20 years, so I know how it goes when there is just not enough time to do everything you want.
SteemWorld remains one of the very best things about our ecosystem!

leider ist es schon eine Weile her, dass ich den letzten Kommentar von dir voten konnte.
Ich habe eine Idee für dich, die du hoffentlich nicht doof findest:
Da deine Support-Posts ja in relativ großen Zeitabständen erscheinen, könntest du im Kommentarbereich jeden Tag eine kurze Bemerkung posten.
Z.B. "Guten Morgen!" oder "Ich bin am Arbeiten ;-)" oder ... was dir gerade so einfällt.
So stünde jeden Tag ein Kommentar zum Voten bereit.
Ich vermute, ich bin nicht der Einzige, der solche Kommentare von dir zu deiner Unterstützung voten würde. Mir (und eventuell noch vielen Anderen) fällt diese Art der Unterstützung viel leichter, als sauer verdiente STEEM zu spenden. Z.B. jaki01 macht das so ähnlich für seine Tochter "steem-queen".

PS: Da fällt mir gerade noch ein, dass 1 Kommentar pro Tag eigentlich zu wenig ist. 3 bis 5 wären optimal, finde ich.
Das könntest du ja auch so machen, dass du Kommentare postest, die da lauten:
"Für Unterstützungs-Votes-01"
"Für Unterstützungs-Votes-02"
"Für Unterstützungs-Votes-03"
usw.
Das ist vielleicht sogar besser, da es deutlich, offen und ehrlich ist ;-)

So was Ähnliches habe ich auch schonmal vorgeschlagen. Ich wäre da beim Upvoten auch dabei, solch eine super Arbeit muss definitiv unterstützt werden!

Super Idee! Das würde auch das 'Problem' mit den Auto-Votes lösen. Es ist ja aktuell so, dass ich immer eine Menge automatischer Votes für meine Posts bekomme und ich diese nicht verlieren möchte, wenn ich mal ein paar schnelle Posts zwischen den normalen Support-Posts mache. Sonst hätte ich das nämlich schon lange gemacht und öfter mal einfach spontan 'nen kleinen 'Chiller-Schnack' des Tages in die Kette geworfen. Bei $20-$30 Auto-Votes überlegt man sich das natürlich sehr gut, vor allem, wenn das eigene Geschäft davon abhängt.

ich habe meinen Vorschlag und die erfreulich positiven Reaktionen darauf noch mal ein bisschen auf mich wirken lassen und habe nun noch eine Verfeinerung meines Vorschlages für dich.
Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass du dir ein wenig schwer tust damit, diese Vote-Möglichkeiten bereit zu stellen. Denn zum einen schätze ich dich als sehr bescheidenen Menschen ein, was eine solche Angelegenheit betrifft, zum anderen hat sich ja schon mal irgend jemand völlig unberechtigt negativ geäußert, was die Spenden an dich angeht.
Also, ich schlage vor, dass du jeden Tag mit aktualisiertem Datum unter deinen letzten Post einen Kommentar setzt, in dem inhaltlich in etwa folgendes stehen könnte.
„2019-05-22 Liebe Steemians,
von nicht wenigen Benutzern meiner SteemWorld wurde an mich heran getragen, dass sie bedauern, dass man mich so selten mit Votes unterstützen kann, da meine Posts doch in recht großen Zeitabständen erscheinen, und es so wenige Kommentare von mir gibt, die man voten könnte. Viele Steemians würden mich aber lieber per Votes unterstützen anstelle der Spendenmöglichkeit. Oder sie möchten es zusätzlich auf diesem Wege tun.
Also wurde mir vorgeschlagen, dass ich jeden Tag unter meinem letzten Post einen Kommentar mit aktuellem Datum veröffentliche, den man dann voten kann. Das tue ich hiermit gerade.
Es hat auch den Vorteil, dass ich die Steemians, die meine Posts per Auto-Voter voten, nicht zu sehr beanspruche. Zusätzlich wurde mir vorgeschlagen, dass ich unter diesem Kommentar per Reply noch zwei weitere Kommentare mit aktuellem Datum setze für diejenigen Benutzer meiner SteemWorld, die mehr als ein Vote abgeben möchten.

Wunderbar @double-u! Freut mich zu sehen, wie viele Gedanken du dir zu dem Thema bereits gemacht hast. Ich bin gerade dabei mit Hilfe deiner Ideen eine für mich am besten passende Lösung zu basteln...
Ich tendiere dazu, einen Extra-Post à la "Chiller's Logbook / Logbuch 2019" zu machen, in dem ich dann verschiedene Kommentar-Kategorien ablege. Eine Kategorie könnte z.B. "Daily Support / Tägliche Unterstützung" heißen, in welcher ich jeden Tag einen wie von dir vorgeschlagenen Kommentar "2019-05-22 | Support Votes" erstelle.
Vielleicht wäre es auch sinnvoll eine Unterkategorie pro Monat oder Woche zu haben, so dass jeder, der meine Arbeit unterstützen möchte, einen festen Link zu allen SteemWorld-relevanten Kommentaren hat.
Mein Gedankengang kann hier natürlich jetzt nicht enden... ^^ Wollte ich nicht sowieso mal einen Link für "Bug-Reports" und "Häufig gestellte Fragen" haben... Und sowieso gefällt mir die Idee eine Art "Logbuch" zu haben, wo ich dann täglich in ein paar Worten davon berichten kann, was gerade so bei mir ansteht. Nichts Weltbewegendes, nur so für freie Gedanken spontan aus dem Leben heraus... Ja, das hätte was.
Bin auf dem Weg ;)

Super! Du wirst das schon so umsetzen, dass es am besten zu dir passt, dir am besten gefällt und sogar noch weitere Nutzungsmöglichkeiten bietet.
Es reicht ja, wenn ich dich ein wenig "schubsen" konnte ;-)
Ich hatte ein bisschen die Befürchtung, dass ich mit meinem ausgearbeiteten Vorschlag eventuell ein bisschen weit gegangen bin, da du ja selbst so etwas sehr gut umsetzen kannst ;-)
Der Hintergrund dafür bei mir war, dass ich dir einfach Arbeit und Zeit ersparen und etwas liefern wollte, was du ohne Aufwand sofort einsetzen könntest.
Aber, deine Umsetzung wird bestimmt besser und ich bin gespannt darauf.

super idee!! bin auch dabei. habe nicht viel power aber viel klein mist macht auch viel im endeffekt!!!. würde auch die werbetromel rühren und blogs machen die dann @steemchiller zu gute kommen und informieren würden. nächsten sonntag könntest Du werner noch mal deine reichweite (kneipe) nutzen, was Du ja eh schon immer machst, und mit dem Informieren beginnen. bin überzeugt das es jedem steem user einfacher fällt in form von votes zu unterstützen als den donate button anzuwenden, was ja auch eine option bleiben würde. verdammt gute idee. lasst uns es umsetzen und sonntags drüber reden und verantwortrliche bestimmen und es umsetzen. lg michael

I think so many features are added here, one more feature should be used like band with limit. Now its becoming all in one platform.

At time of making the screenshot there were 1989 archive files with 20 million blocks ready to download. I'm currently still uploading the next bunch of 10M blocks. Size for the whole blockchain + indices will be at least 50GB (strongly compressed).

I absolutely love your project @steemchiller. I've been meaning to mention a function that I can't find on steemworld. Can you let me know where it is? I'm looking for the STEEM/SBD spread between the two coins. It kinda should be in the Order Section menu, but I'm not seeing it. Is it somewhere else? Or is it just not there?

Could you update this. The numbers are wrong. The 198.735 Mvest is in reality STEEM.
Thanks for the hint! Indeed it's STEEM and I will remove the whole 'Total Vesting Fund' row, because the sum is already being displayed in the 'Total Vesting Shares' row.
