Finding value in Splinterland cards – Cursed Slimeball
Hi all,
Introduction
Another post in this series. Thank you for your support in the previous posts 😊
This series intends to determine if there are other aspects of cards that may contribute to increasing its value. Based on your feedback I can focus on more/other things – so feel free to tell me where you want me to go into further detail.
I include some analysis on where the cards fit in terms of strategy and a market analysis of the price of the card in previous months. Feel free to suggest what more do you want me to look into in this series, and your support is much appreciated!
In this edition I will be looking at the Cursed Slimeball.

Strategy
I will be focusing my analysis on the usefulness of this card in lower leagues (i.e. bronze to gold).
This card’s main advantages are its low mana (1!). A well-known card which is very often used in low mana battles (<=20). Given how well Death splinter performs currently in low mana battles, this card sees a lot of play. If there ever is a rotation of freely playable card, I predict this card’s value will increase significantly. Although currently free to play, I would advise getting this card when you can, as it will not lose usefulness any time soon in my opinion.
Market Analysis
A very good card, which although its free to play, holds it value quite nicely.
Let’s look at the last 6 months.
Looking at the graphs, the following can be concluded:
- in regular foil, the card value has been very stable, usually sitting around the 0.4$ range. Occasionally, the price spikes (to over 3x), making an interesting investment opportunity.
- in gold foil, the card has been losing value. After remaining relatively stable for some months, the card started losing valued, having even broke a resistance at about 4$.
Please let me know in the comments if there is any further information you would like me to include in future analysis.
Thank you for reading this post.
Stay safe!

Some gold are holding there value and there are some closer or under the burn value just like regular cards so you take the same risk if you buy like that and you can always burn it. NOw untamed and A/B cards are looking like im going to be buying those bc i never play in modern so ill prob compare the cards and sell all the ones that do similar things so i can max out my complete set of legendary summoners and grab some of the cards i like to max those like the phantom off the abis another card for my gold kralus and some lord or darkness cards as well as glordious maxiumus etc. I like to find ppl dumping them and suck them up for a ridiculous cheap price and play with them plus hold on and wait for some appreciation. For now im going back to buying packs before they breach 2 bucks and nightmare packs as well bc thetere spitting out sps for now as well as are nodes for how cheap they are.

ALso the soul bound and gladius card changes leaves opportunity to farm them byplaying like 20 guilds yourself and just getting all the gladius and rewards cards in the accounts and bot durning the non brawl time or tournamants so you can get the accounts ready for rent for ppl who want a edge or who wantto buy a account with x galdius cases and a lexvel x guild can charge for that and stick a 10% profits interest on it in perpetuity so i get a earn out on the profits.
