My New Rebellion Purchases

The Modern league is the place to be now that the League Pass for Wild has been introduced. To improve the win rate and also earnings, it's time to invest in a few Rebellion cards. Here's what I picked up recently:

Helheim Demon

The Helheim Demon is a rare card that costs a lot of mana but it has the Taunt ability along with decent health and a decent 2 magic damage. I can see this being pretty useful in the lower leagues where low level cards are used and it could clear out many of the weaker cards by itself.

Halaran Huntress

The Huntress is a low mana card that has one of the new Rebellion abilities, "Charge". This would be good in low mana battles because it does significant two damage and can remain hidden behind the first position.

Blackmoor Wild Elf

The Wild Elf also does pretty decent two magic damage and cannot be targeted until it reaches the first position. It does have little health which is not much of a problem since it can't be targeted because of the 'Camouflage' ability.

The overall art and power of the cards

The quality of the card art has taken a step up from the early days of the game. This looks like professional art so kudos to the team. In terms of leveling up the cards, it isn't too hard to get them to level 4 or level 5 where they can start to do some real damage. In fact, from level 2, you can unlock a second ability, which is nice.

The game continues to evolve but most importantly, I hope the team can commit to maintaining or increasing card values. That would be a strong step in the right direction.
