End Of Season Rewards Choices
As we draw the curtains on another Splinterlands season, now is the time to update and upgrade the Splinterlands collections. In earlier iterations of the game, we had rewards chests to look forward to. Now, we have the Glint shop. The Glint shop requires some choices to be made.
Draws or Chests?
Well, one problem when playing in the modern league is that I don't earn as much Glint as I used to. Still struggling to get past Bronze I and the back and forth hasn't been able to get me past.
So, with the limited Glint that I have, what's a good option? Get a couple of Major Chests and pray for an outsized reward? Or is a bird in hand worth two in the bush? Should I just go for Draws and get guaranteed cards without having to worry about getting potions or something worthless in the chest?
Being risk averse, I'm going to go for the draws.
Here's what I got...
7 rare draws means 7 rare cards. They will come in pretty handy in battle, especially the Drybone Megalodon which allows for a Reach attack in second place.
Commander Slade as a tank is also not bad in high mana battles. Now that the Kraken is no longer usable in Modern, i'm missing one for the Water splinter. Maybe Commander Slade could be it.
At about 60 Glint per battle won, it is going to take some time before I can earn an Epic or Legendary. Maybe I should do that next instead, but a rare draw is the minimum, in my opinion. Wouldn't bother wasting time with Common Draws.
Well I think sacrificing some glint to earn some more SPS is not as bad, but it makes it difficult to actually compete and leave the bronze league. Although earning more Glint means paying for a pass.
Yeah, I need to do those calculations on rental cost vs earnings in Bronze 1 and beyond. Might just be profitable in Silver if the number increases linearly.
