I want to help…..

Afternoon everyone…..

This might not pertain to everyone, it depends what you choose to stack. Over the last several months I have been reading posts with purchases from specific on line dealers. Not all bullion dealers are created equal…..

I will explain…..

Some of the on line dealers that I am about to tell you aren’t the best to buy from I swore by years ago. But the industry has changed and so have those dealers.

A-Mark Precious Metals has been buying up large percentages of many of the dealers which used to be my favorite to buy from. They are trying to monopolize the market pricing. In case you didn’t know they own large percentages of the following bullion dealers. JM Bullion, Provident Metals, Silver.com, SilverGoldBull, Silvertowne, BSAG, Silver.org and Gold.org. I might be missing a couple since the last time I checked was months ago. All of these dealers have the same exact price on everything they sell.
Another on line dealer that has higher pricing is APMEX, my nickname for them is Rapex. They are always on the high side and all of the above dealers are very difficult to get a hold of if your order isn’t right or is damaged.

The following dealers are my go to on line dealers. They have very good pricing, great customer service and are still privately owned. In order….

Monument Metals: they are a dealer in Maryland who are typically the lowest price on everything I am pricing to buy.

Bold Precious Metals: they are a dealer in Texas. They have a huge variety of bullion and coins and are typically very close to Monument Metals on pricing and sometimes have a slightly better price.

Bullion Exchanges: they are a dealer in New York City. Very competitive pricing and run specials often.

Over ninety percent of my purchases on line are done with these three dealers. There are some exclusive rounds or coins that I am forced to buy from others, but that will be all I order from them.

Here is a deal currently available from Monument Metals.

I bought 10 10 0unce bars from bullion exchanges and the packaging looked good until I got to the last bag that had all the poured bars stacked on top of each other with no protection. They were all scratched up. The kicker was that they also shipped 10 plastic bags that I could put em in to keep them from getting even more fucked up. I complained and got no response. They are dead to me.

Sorry to hear that, I’ve had two issues with shipments from them and both were handled ver well and quickly. A gold coin came out of its capsule during shipping and got scratched up, and I ordered a tube of silver maples that were milk spotted. Both were replaced.

I haven't bought from SGB for a while since I noticed a sudden change in their pricing policy a few years ago. I am aware of A-Mark cornering the Retail market and that's too bad. I've been ordering mostly from a few Coin shops in Ontario with the bulk of my Stacking from Local brick & mortar Dealers.

You have a great shop at Brighouse! I'd support him again! Kinda felt like my local shop. I only buy local now.

I buy for Monument, Bold, and sometimes from Bullion Exchanges. I have no loyalty to any one dealer until I am burned... like SD Bullion. Too bad for them, hehehe! At anyrate, they won't miss any of our purchases!

What happened with SD bullion, I never had an issue with them.

They sold me an advertised Peace Dollar and Morgan Dollar... I complained, but they insisted it was BU! I have no time to argue with them for a measly two coins that are not BUs.
They just lost a customer, that's all! Who cares? There are other places to shop, hehehe!
They wanted to make a quick buck... they made a mistake without them realizing it!

That's a pretty good deal, it's all about finding a good entry and hopefully it lines up with a special

Ampex is the only company I’ve never had a damaged item issue with. JMVullion was so good for years but they sent me items with damage twice in a row and fought me on making exchange. So I bailed on them. I have tried them again once or twice but I used to be loyal to them only. Thousands a year spend every year. But yea Ampex not best price but never had a problem. I’m gonna check out some of these other players! 🪙🪙🪙

I used to buy mainly from JM but their prices suck since A-Mark bought them. Apmex years ago used to have competitive prices but haven’t in several years now.

Thanks for the tip. They probably don't ship to Japan. Shipping more than junk silver into Japan may be a pain with customs, I'm not sure. But just for future reference and/or next time I'm in the States, I have them all bookmarked.
