Breaking bodies

I took you out of your head,
Dragged you into my mind,
undressed and fornicated with you.
I tore you from your thoughts
And made it us, undivided, single,
Then I stepped back and
Watched you fumble and fall
From the edge of the precipice.
Your surprise at finding that you fell,
Alone and unseen was priceless.

I watched the broken pieces of you
Gather up from the bedroom floor
And stagger into some sense of self
After I was done carving your form
To the bedpost and shaping
New manacles from all your dreams.
I smelt the scent of your shame
Amidst the fading scent of your desire
But I had tweaked you
And you thought this was love.

I burnt your fears to dust
With selected verbs and adjectives,
Then I torched you and you burned
On the bedsheets, where your stake slept,
Scarred with former fires.
When you gathered your tears
And gave them new names,
As you tried to find yourself in the mirror,
I saw your third face revealed
For an instant and it was self pity
But it disappeared and your first face,
Carved to perfection returned
And each time, some part of you died.
I never saw that face again.

Yet now that I have you,
I feel the sour breath of loneliness.
I see the signs of your passage
Across the floor but you leave me nothing.
The sweet scent that the flowering
Of feeling squeezed from you is gone.
Now, I get the memory of a scent
And the emptiness where your heart
Used to be.
I have tweaked too far and now,
You give me no love because
In my ego, i ripped it out of you.
I was ever the fool.
