It was a cloudy and rainy day. The sky that was supposed to be behind the tree was completely obscured by low clouds and fog.

Es war ein trüber und regnerischer Tag. Der Himmel, der eigentlich hinter dem Baum sein sollte, war komplett von tiefen Wolken und Nebel verdeckt.

In addition to the black and white conversion of the photo, I have played a bit with the possibilities of Photoshop.

Neben der Schwarzweiß Konvertierung des Fotos habe ich noch ein bisschen mit den Möglichkeiten von Photoshop gespielt.

I already photographed and posted this tree a few times earlier this year. 10 days ago I drove by again and took pictures of some other trees first and then this one. This time I stayed a bit further on the field and photographed with the 70-200mm lens from there.

Diesen Baum habe ich bereits ein paar Mal Anfang des Jahres fotografiert und gepostet. Vor 10 Tagen bin ich wieder einmal vorbeigefahren und habe an der Stelle zuerst ein paar andere Bäume fotografiert und dann auch diesen. Diesmal bin ich etwas weiter weg auf dem Feld geblieben und habe mit dem 70-200mm Objektiv von dort aus fotografiert.

I hope the weather will get better tomorrow, because I would like to go outdoors again to take pictures.

Ich hoffe, dass das Wetter morgen wieder besser wird, weil ich ganz gerne wieder einmal nach Draußen zum Fotografieren möchte.

I like this tree and I have quite a few photos of it, but none with a really beautiful blue and cloudy sky behind it 😉

I like how the fog can completely obscure the background but still keep the tree intact. Nice job, thanks for sharing

Well the walks were nice in that I had them, but the supermarket and the mall isnt my ideal spot for walking is that !DERANGED

No, that's not !DERANGED - I go to such places only if I have to, because I don't like to photograph people and in a mall or in a supermarket I only spend money ... but not for !BEER though ;)

I guess it comes down to I don’t like visiting places that you can’t really have your camera out and I To am not keen on taking photos of people

It may sound !DERANGED but our visit to the mall yesterday was good in we just got steps in no shopping and no !BEER

I hate it when there are so many people in such a mall, especially before Christmas. But just walking through and not having to buy anything would be not so bad. Otherwise, if I see an electronics shop I usually am !DERANGED and not able to stay outside and walk further on - with or without !BEER ;)

I think, if I did take photos inside a mall or so, I would probably take them with my phone.

I forgot to tell you these shots made me think of a Song by one of my favorite bands One Tree HIll by U2

Ohh yeah now it’s getting tot he time of year when the malls get so packed its crazy, that was the good thing yesterday it was a work day and hence the mall was so quite I love it like that and it doesnt make me !DERANGED

I used to joke that it should be a law that the shops our wife’s like should be grouped together with an electronic shop nearby for us guys,or a bar so we could have a !BEER

There is a tree that sits on a hill very similar to this in my home town. It is a very happy subject for my amateur photography and provides a mild challenge at any time of year.

This shot is excellent.

It's not easy to find interesting and single standing trees like this one where I live, but I know a few and this tree belongs to my favorite, because it's right beside a road ;)
And you are right, such a tree is a very nice subject to photograph and I hope that one day I'll be there when there's a nice blue and a bit cloudy sky in the background.

If I could I would lay an internet cable only for you, but I can't. It's really a shame that nowadays areas exist, where there's no good internet connection.

@johannpiber Thanks for the offer. If it comes to that there are way more areas with these problems. Everywhere on earth. I know people in the US have the same. In the former city I lived it was the same. The capital city of the province but the whole area had bad internet + phone connection. We had cabled internet over there.

They talk about 5G blah blah fit I frequently notice I have 2G it 3G with a connection like that you can do nothing these days not even use WhatsApp. Happy weekend. ❤️

I don't know, I was just driving on this road last spring and saw the tree 😉
Since then I drive there from time to time and try to get a good photo 🙂

At least one of us has nice Sunday weather 🙂

My car uses Diesel which costs Euro 1.153 per liter = $ 1.27 per liter = about $ 4.80 per gallon. Gasoline costs Euro 1.169 per liter.

oh I like diesels! That is not too bad. Ours is cheaper but we are close to the major refineries here in Texas along the coast. The other day when I filled up it was $2.30.

$ 2.30 is half the price we pay - that would be great and I wouldn't have to think so much about it before I drive somewhere far.
