Introduction

Hello fellow steemians! ✋

My name is Inês, I work as a freelance translator and I live in Portugal in a beautiful city close to the sea called Aveiro.

Games and Crypto 🎮 💰

Since I was a little girl I was introduced to the gaming world, by my older brother, Yann, playing games as Everquest, UnReal World, WoW, etc.
Later on my passion for games and computers evolved, to a point that I even was in the Uni studying Computer Engineering (didn’t last long though).

I have met @anouk.nox while hunting for Satoshi’s Treasure, she also was in ToshiCiphers and she has been trying to get me into Steem for a while. So I’m finally here.

I consider this to be an amazing community and honestly I just fell in love with Splinterlands ! <3

I currently play a huge amount of games, crypto and non-crypto, from 0xUniverse, to Elder Scrolls Online and Final Fantasy online and some PS4 games as well. And now, obviously, Splinterlands and FlowerPatch! :smile:
I think of myself as a newbie in cryptocurrency so far, but I'm eager to learn more and keep improving my knowledge in this area.

My life 💚

As I have mentioned before I have been working as a translator for more than 10 years. I got my bachelor and master degree in Translation Specialized in Legal Translation in german and english (although my german sucks) and I really love what I do.

I have an amazing freedom regarding time and I can make my own schedule. So, basically, I work when I want. But honestly working at home is not the dream everyone thinks of. It’s hard to be organized and stick to the schedule I make. But I have beings that help me in this hard task, my landlords aka CAT Tools.

I live in an apartment owned by 7 cats (Shiva, Mio, Ninja, Durga, Tsundari, Fausto and Leopoldo) who very kindly allow me and my bf to live there. 😹

Later on I plan on writing a post to introduce them as well. 😻

Splinterlands ✅

So... This game is super addictive. As soon as I created my steem acc I created one Splinterlands. I was introduced to one amazing guild: Team Possible, once again by @anouk.nox, and I instantly felt like home. Everyone was super welcome and nice to me.

Special thanks to @anouk.nox @taintedblood @clove71 @foggybottom @immortalgods @pacolimited (and I am certainly forgetting about some people! Sorry!) for all your help learning this game...

My favorite from your list of video games would have to be Warcraft which I started playing like in 2005. I've not been a translator but was learning some Vietnamese when I taught English in Vietnam. I'm a gamer. I'm really into Mario, Nintendo, some RPG games, car racing, etc. Glad you are here on Steemit. What does Aveiro mean? Sounds beautiful. Cryptocurrency is kind of hard to explain but it is kind of like digital money.

I haven't played WoW in a long time tbh, but I have played a lot of Nintendo as well and if I had to choose just one type of game it would def be RPG's.

Aveiro is the most beautiful city in Portugal, the so-called portuguese venice, you can check it on the web, but I leave you some pictures I took:

I already read your amazing guides (all of them!). Steemworld is heaven like.

You should come visit me! Aveiro is pretty close to Porto which imho is more beautiful than Lisbon (where I was born) and we actually have a beach close although with freezing waters.
I would enjoy very much to be tour guide for sure!

I will def have a bunch of newbie questions but as they appear I'll dm you !!

Pues deberias! Ni qui sea con una mochila en la espalda y haciendo autostop. Quizás no en Venezuela. No debe ser el mejor lugar para este tipo de viaje. :/

jaja es cierto, aunque la he recorrido 3 veces, sobre todo por mi tesis que fue de fotografía etnica/indigena y documental :) he ido a muchos sitios aqui dentro, es genial. si me motivo en estos dias lo hago jejeje ganas no me faltan

si lo fue lo que pasa es q Venezuela actualmente es realmente demasiado extremo y peligroso entonces lo hace muy complicado (en exceso). si a mi tambien quisiera ir para mexico, si puedo escapar de aqui lo primero que iria es ir a cdmx

I've had a LOT of new folks joining the contests so upvoting has become more of a math problem. I try to wait until it goes back up, but it's becoming harder and harder every day! Which is totally great!

I'm headed out to a school today for a carnival fundraiser (I run a nonprofit and I created the carnival, all the games, and do all the things, then the schools get to keep the funds they raise. I'm just there for the party ;) )... so if I don't upvote you for a day or two- don't be sad! I'll do it! 🥰

  1. Guard your passwords carefully, and only publish with the posting key,
  2. Use your active key only for wallet transactions, keychain and steemconnect,
