Rocket Experiments and More Explosions!
My Kuya received a gift. It was a Science experiment box.
I saw a rocket and instruction paper inside the box. One of the pages said get the ping-pong ball and the heavy ball, throw both balls in the air at the same time. And when we did, both fell at the same time.
I got a little bored then we went to the rocket Science experiment.
We needed vinegar and baking soda so we used a funnel to make it easier to put the vinegar in the bottle.
When we put the vinegar and baking soda the first attempt we failed because I put too much vinegar and baking soda. The rocket did not fly because we were not able to put it on the bottle lid on time! The vinegar exploded before we could put the rocket.
The second attempt we did it! We did it many more times and the rocket went on top of the wall but the wind pushed back down.
It was really fun but i wanted more experiments so we did one more experiment we did years ago.
It also used baking soda and vinegar then we got food coloring, and it was red.
First we put vinegar then we put baking soda like before.
Then the vinegar was rising and then it bubbled and overflowed.
It was so cool!
We did not do anymore because we were already using up a lot of vinegar and baking soda.
I asked my mommy to look for that video of our volcano experiment years ago. She will put it here.
Thank you for reading my blog.
Love,
Ryle
Great job, my Little Man! Keep it up!
Fun and learning...I love that. Good job 😃👍

OMG @arrliinn these are your kids right?? ! They are too cute! My heart melted in a second! 🥰
Cool experiment, thank you for sharing it with us, Ryle!
Oh yes, @missdeli! These were their videos from 3 years ago. 🤪 Ryle has another video of Mentos experiment that's really hilarious. It still makes me laugh until now.

They were so cute! I loved seeing them soo little! I didnt come across their profile but I checked it out! Cuteness overload! 🥰🥰
Those were the times when they were still too keen to be on camera. Nowadays I have to ask them if I could take photos of them, more so post them online. Guess what, I get declined most times. LOL.
We're trying to get their profiles more active these days. These articles are more like exercises for them - composition and grammar, typing skills, etc. Like for this particular post, I gave Ryle a prompt - 4 photos- and made him describe each one while trying to get up to 200 words. And he did, with very minor supervision. I'm so happy and proud. He even had to "shhhh" me when I intervened. Haha.
The girl decided to make an individual profile for herself but she's not been too active. She has lots of ideas to post though.
I'll check the profiles out , I'm curious to see some other of your old posts. They're too cute!

Ahh I remember doing the volcano experiment when my kids were about your age give or take XD Great fun! We didn't do bottle rockets though (I did not trust the youngest to not lose an eye x_x).
Did you learn anything new from performing the experiments again? :D
I learned that when you put the vinegar and baking soda together and you put the rocket on top of the bottle it will fly because the vinegar and baking powder make air and the pressure will push the rocket to fly.
Nice XD I think there's a variation on it where you can make the whole bottle a rocket rather than a launch pad for the smaller rocket too.
Have you tried the Mentos and soft drink experiment yet?
Experiments are the best way to learn significantly about combinations of different elements that can generate reactions between them. And most importantly, adult supervision. Congratulations
