Les presento a Princesa 🐾 || This is Princess [ESP/ENG]
¡Hola, amigos amantes de los animales de Hive! Hoy quiero compartirles una de mis queridas mascotas: mi perrita llamada Princesa.
Hello, animal-loving friends of Hive! Today I want to share with you one of my beloved pets: my dog named Princess.
Princesa es una Pinscher miniatura de color negro, tiene 7 años de edad y algunas veces es traviesa. Llegó a nuestra familia desde que tenía un mes de nacida, nos presentaron dos perritos hermanos y ella era la más tímida; cuando nos vio se escondió detrás de unas cajas. Y bueno, nos llamó mucho la atención que la elegimos a ella.
Princess is a black Miniature Pinscher, she is 7 years old and sometimes mischievous. She came to our family when she was one month old, we were introduced to two sibling puppies and she was the most shy; when she saw us she hid behind some boxes. And well, it caught our attention that we chose her.
En la foto de abajo puedes verla con sus grandes orejas y grandes ojos, unos días después de haber llegado a nosotros.
In the photo below you can see her with her big ears and big eyes, a few days after she came to us.
Una de las características más llamativa de ella (y creo que la mayoría de los perros de esta raza) es que le gusta saltar mucho. Cuando mis papás o yo llegamos a casa, vemos que ella transmite su emoción dando saltos continuos frente a nosotros (tanto que llega hasta nuestra cintura).
One of the most striking characteristics of her (and I think most dogs of this breed) is that she likes to jump a lot. When my parents or I get home, we see that she transmits her emotion by continuously jumping in front of us (so much so that she reaches up to our waist).
Además, Princesa ama mucho pasear en auto. Cuando está dentro del vehículo, le gusta subir sus dos patas delanteras en la ventana y mirar todo lo que pasa frente a sus ojos; y más aún, pareciera que quisiera decirles (o más bien, ladrarles) a las personas: “¡Hola, soy Princesa y estoy paseando en auto!”
Also, Princess loves riding in the car very much. When she is inside the vehicle, she likes to put her two front paws up on the window and look at everything that happens in front of her eyes; and even more so, it seems that he wants to say (or rather, bark) at people: "Hello, I'm Princess and I'm riding in a car!"

Otro de sus “grandes gustos” es acostarse sobre mis piernas cuando estoy sentado o en la cama. Pareciera que ese es uno de sus lugares más cómodos, porque cada vez que tiene oportunidad lo hace. Aunque, debo admitir, a mí también me gusta que esté allí; porque nos damos cuenta que ellos necesitan de nuestro amor, ¿y por qué se lo debemos negar?
Another of his "great pleasures" is lying on my lap when I'm sitting or in bed. It seems that this is one of her most comfortable places, because every time she has the opportunity, she does it. Although, I must admit, I also like that she is there; because we realize that they need our love, and why should we deny it?
Aunque nuestra pequeña Princesa ya está en edad de tener cachorros, ella no puede tenerlos; y te cuento brevemente la razón: Hace un par de años, a ella le dio un pre-infarto. Una mañana mi mamá se levantó y vio a la perra haciendo algunos desastres, por lo que mi mamá la regañó, pero tanto fue el susto que el animal salió corriendo; luego la vimos tambaleando, vomitando y expulsando espuma por la boca.
Although our little Princess is already of puppy age, she cannot have them; and I'll briefly tell you why: A couple of years ago, she had a pre-heart attack. One morning my mom got up and saw the dog making some messes, so my mom scolded her, but she was so scared that the animal ran away; then we saw her staggering, vomiting and foaming at the mouth.
Decidimos llevarla al veterinario, pero eran las 7 a.m. y los consultorios abren a las 8 a.m. Por lo que nos tocó esperar una hora con Princesa en esa alarmante situación; pero luego de ir al especialista (y diagnosticarle un pre-infarto) le mandaron algunos tratamientos, y hoy día el animal está feliz.
We decided to take her to the vet, but it was 7 a.m. and clinics open at 8 a.m. So we had to wait an hour with Princess in that alarming situation; but after going to the specialist (and diagnosing a pre-heart attack) they sent her some treatments, and today the animal is happy.

Sin embargo, a partir de lo sucedido Princesa no puede tener cachorros, el veterinario nos explicó que su corazón es muy pequeño; por eso fue que sufrió el pre-infarto y por eso también podría morir en el momento de parto.
However, after what happened, Princess cannot have puppies, the vet explained that her heart is very small; that is why she suffered the pre-infarction and that is why she could also die at the time of childbirth.
Y aunque quisiéramos alguna descendencia, nos conformamos con darle todo el amor a ella, a una mascota única, dando sus cuidados y preparándole su comida favorita: arroz con hígado de pollo.
And even if we wanted some offspring, we settled for giving all our love to her, to a unique pet, taking care of her and preparing her favorite food: rice with chicken liver.
