Happily ever after of #AbhiSabRamyaBharose π©ββ€οΈβπβπ¨
Here's my final post from the #AbhiSabRamyaBharose series. Finally, we're at their big day, the wedding day. Yesss it's happening! πβ€οΈ
After finishing the phool muddi ceremony in the morning, we couldn't contain our happiness to finally be part of their auspicious moment. It's not very often that we get to attend evening weddings. The evening weddings are called as godhuli muhurta weddings. Godhuli means the time of the setting sun, when the cows which had gone for grazing is returning home. 'Go' means cow, 'dhuli' means dust. They raise the dust with their hoofs. That's how the name originated.
We were instructed to be ready by 4:30 when the baraat was scheduled. We couldn't keep calm from the moment we heard the dhol(drum instrument) at the lobby. The baraat then moved towards the wedding venue. Each of these wedding events were organised at different venues of the resort.
The groom made his entry in a royal convertible alongside his family and cousins. It's very unfortunate that we missed his entry. But we finally got ready and moved to the wedding venue. We got to witness the last 15 mins of the baraat, yes we didn't miss the baraat!π The groom looked dashing in his wedding sherwani. The place slowly started getting filled with the wedding guests. There was food and snacks arranged for the guests on their arrival. We couldn't take our eyes off the wedding decor. It was simply beautiful and class. The entire event was so professionally handled by the Bowtie Hospitality team.
As we were waiting for the brides arrival, we comforted ourselves at the food counter.π€ They had arranged for some yummy dosas, pakodas along with tea, coffee, and tender coconut at the food stall. It wasn't too long before the bride made her presence. We were absolutely speechless looking at how beautiful the bride looked. If I may speak for everyone, we were all teary eyed as she made her appearance.
The wedding rituals for the groom began soon after the bride arrived at the venue. It's a ritual that the groom should not see the bride until she's on stage and ready for the nuptial ceremony. There was special escort ceremony for the bride that was planned. The bridal entry was so dreamy and picturesque that it felt like it's happening in heaven (if that's what heaven looked like). I'll let these pictures speak for themselves.
We escorted the bride with dhol and dance as she made her entry. She then moved towards the stage which was all decorated for her big day. The place, the decor, the people, the vibe and literally everything about that evening was just magical.β¨ Soon the wedding rituals began. But unfortunately, we couldn't stay for the entire wedding ceremony as we had booked our return tickets to Mangalore that night. With a heavy heart, we had to soon leave the wedding venue and go back to our rooms to pack our bags and be ready to leave by 9:30. So as soon as the dinner was arranged, we moved towards the dining area. Post dinner we moved to our rooms after bidding good bye to the newly wedded couple.
Honestly, that was the toughest part of the entire three days celebration. It felt like a dream to all of us. Bidding goodbye to our new friends, who felt like family made it all the more harder. The last few minutes was as chaotic as it could get, but did we enjoy? Hell yes!! I cannot articulate what these three days felt like. We were hungover to this wedding even after we came back to Mangalore. We couldn't resist but look at the wedding pictures and reminiscence the happy moments.

The unique thing i remember of weddings, is that everyone gets very very drunk! π
Always a lot of fun π

Oh we get drunk too, but on Sangeet(pre-wedding celebration) and not on the wedding day itself. It indeed is a lot of fun!
Thank you for stopping by to appreciate this post.β€οΈ
ahahah great to know... the world is a little town π
not on the wedding? that's a pity!! π€£
Hahah yes, that rarely happens in South Indian weddings. But if I'm not wrong, in Catholic and North Indian weddings they still have alcohol on the day of the wedding.π€
ahahahahahha i was joking.. but yeah some alcohol cannot be missing π
Cheers to that!π
