Some interesting photos for you today.

Power cut time means hunting for lovely photos in the outdoors.
063 (2).jpg

So, let's go to this wine farm and see what we can get. The first two photos were taken at the entrance of the farm.

I included the Nguni cattle shots to show you that not only wine is produced at this farm, but that it is also a proper farm, and they even have a nature reserve on the farm. Many sights can be seen here and it is a photographer's paradise. In this post I have only taken photos of the small things that I liked and I hope that you will also like them.
So let's have a look.

Beautiful beasts that were bred specially for the harsh African conditions.
113.JPG

At first, we headed down to check on the river, but it was running low as we have had no rain recently.
010.JPG

Ah! A little Paradise Fly-catcher popped down from a tree. What a prize!
114.JPG

I think that it is a youngster, as their breeding season is over.
077.JPG

Here we had a Citrus Swallowtail butterfly on an Agapanthus flower.
082 (2).JPG

Let's stick to the yellows and here are some lovely flowers. I am not strong on flower names and I don't know what these are called.
009.JPG

It did however remind me of sunflowers and here is a stand of sunflowers on sale at the farm.
026.JPG

I heard a familiar sound and it was a Buzzard that came over.
052.JPG

Then it was time to leave and it was dense traffic, as the Nguni herd decided to cross the exit road.
038.JPG

I had to inch the car through the herd and it was a lovely feeling to be surrounded by the cattle.
021.JPG

Seeing a big eye peeping at you, right next to your car window, makes you feel that you can lower the window and say hi. I don't think that the owner of the big eye will return the greeting, as cattle can't talk. I just wonder what the thoughts were as it peeped through the window. Occasionally, we have some very nice trips with unexpected happenings, and we always come away pleased with the new experiences. There were some calves around, and I didn't want to get out of the car as some moms might think that I am a danger, and then they will call the dads to come sort me out :)
Only joking, as the Nguni's are used to human presences, due to forever being herded by people. So they are a peaceful crowd, and as I said before it is fun to have them around.

The farm is actually a wine estate and you can see what else they offer to their visitors Here

So, when you visit South Africa, specifically the Western Cape Province, don't forget to put this prestigious farm on your list.

I hope that you have enjoyed the photos and the adventure.

And That's All Friends.

The butterfly looked the most amazing. And the farm appears to be so bright with those flowers.

Very South African sighting with cattle on the road, something one comes across anywhere in the land.

Lovely herd on an interesting farm, little paradise fly-catcher such a pretty bird to see along the walk as well.

Happy weekend.

So true and their only dangers are the impatient speedsters.

That her is in tip top condition and one can see that they are managed very well. The farm restaurants make the most delicious milkshakes with the Nguni fresh milk, and I like the big dollop of ice cream that they include in their milkshakes. Strawberry of course and ice cold.

Hope that you are having the same and thank you for the tip.

Getting anywhere of late is dangerous on our roads, once you there an absolute pleasure, double thick milkshake with dollop on top sounds fantabulous!

Thank you and we are blessed with nature here. The flying buzzards always present a great show when they drop out of the upper thermals.

Thank you and I also like how the sunflowers signify that it is summer, as we are now in the summer season here in South Africa.

African seems like a great condition when we think of the environment that lives surrounding both the animal and scenery tell me how peaceful they are.

I'm loving the first and second shot. It's perfect and beautiful. The kind of view that I am dreaming while having a cup of coffee in the front yard ✨

Thank you and if you get a cottage on a farm, then you will them every day. We are trying to get a cottage on any of the farms, but they are expensive and hard to find.
Like searching for a needle in a haystack !LOLZ

Wow. What lovely shots you have here. 😍 Thanks for sharing this with us plus your sense of humor for this article. HAHA.

Anyways, that farm looks so great with the products they produced from it, also the place looks so pleasing in the eyes. Especially the mountains behind.

Thank you for the compliment. They say that a spoon full of sugar makes the medicine go down, but I say that a chest full of laughter makes the problems disappear !LOLZ

A part of the mountain range is the border of that farm, and it is the rainwater that flows from the mountains into rivers that run through the farm, that keeps things lush and green.
Indeed a pleasure to one's eyes and mind.

I think that flower is what they call Daisy and has several colors.
Oh cattles! Remember having them in the community I grew but not as many as that.
It was not a farm, just everyone had.
And I hate it once it was my turn to bring the cows somewhere with many grasses to be eaten🤣

Thank you and I at first also though that they are Daisies, but the flowers are much bigger, and I have never seen daisies that big.
Cattle roam all over in the roads in the countryside here and this herd cannot roam, as they are kept on a farm.
Hahaha, I bet that even if you hated it, that it was great experience to move the cattle around. One that you will never forget 😁 !LOLZ

Sounds like you're coping well with all those power cuts, Zac. Thanks for taking the opportunity to get outside and capture the world around you... and share it with us, of course! !LUV

10 hours of power cuts today lady Caroline and we are so tired of this madness. Where politics are involved, the result is total chaos.

We hate sitting around and Mother nature welcomes us with open arms, and I am grateful that I can share my passions.

Hope that your Sunday is good. !LUV

does africa never have winter and snow?:) interesting how its green in winter, i thought there is only desert at north and normal weather in south.

Africa is in the summer season now and it is a huge continent with many weather patterns and beautiful landscapes all over the continent.
Down here at the extreme southern tip of the continent, we also still have green patches in the mild winter seasons.

Awesome photos as always of our beautiful Cape Town. Would be cool if you can take another picture of that bridge and river in a few month's time after we have gotten some decent rain in!

Thank you and yes, I think that I should indeed go and take some fresh shots of the bridge during our winter rainy season. Last time I had my wife standing on the bridge, but it was long ago.
