I invite you to bring your mind into my colorful share.

Come for a slow Sunday stroll in nature at a pond and a small dam.

Where there is water, one would always find some forms of life.

But before I show the wildlife, I want to show you some colors, as we are in the spring season now in Africa. Most of the flowers have opened with some spectacular displays on show. I have taken a ton of flower pictures, and here is an extract to show you some of the flowers that we like. Boredom doesn't have a place in our lives, as we are forever working, and we take short breaks to visit nature every day.

Note: I will soon share an annual report about our work at The Papillon Foundation in South Africa, and I will also show you a prestigious award that we received from a USA Non-profit regulation entity.

But for now, let's have a look at some colors. First up are some pink and white water plants.

Then we have some pink flowers.

Also our first sight of a female Nomad dragonfly (Sympetrum fonscolombii).

Some nasturtiums of different colors.

And finally, the last wildlife sighting, a river frog using a plant leaf as an umbrella against the sunlight on its head.

Flowers, frogs, dragonflies, colors, and so much else are always beautiful on a sunny day. But let me correct this and let me say that it is even lovely on the misty days. The thing that I like about the misty days, is the chorus of frog song from the river close to our house during daylight. Normally, they only sing at night, but the mist seems to energize them, like an energy drink. We still have the baby sunbirds here at home, as the mommy brings them back every night to the nest, and it will still be a week or so before they will fly off to go and live their own little lives. It was a pleasure to have them here. And now the Ring-neck doves are building a nest in the grape vine canopy next door. The White-eyes, on the other hand, have chosen to build their nest at our other neighbors in the garden. Such is life here in paradise.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

All the pictures you show are very beautiful, full of color. The frog was very cute trying to hide behind the grass leaves, it looked like he was embarrassed.

Iris flowers are gorgeous, water lily romantic, stems with pinks dripping colour, fogs serenading Summer in although the mist still hangs around, joy is found in everything.

Great to hear you had a surprise for all your efforts doing charity work, a little recognition goes a long way doing the tasks you and Marian face in assisting youth of our country.

That is certainly a lovely summary of the post, and I am glad that you liked it Lady Joan.

I might just as well tell you that we were judged and received an award as a Top Nonprofit. So, we were listed in the USA, and it's a great achievement. I will put more information about it in the post that I will do soon.
