How to build a house.

This guy had the drawings and the plans in his head. No need for paperwork.

When birds are born, they know instinctively how to build a nest, even though they have had no tuition.

And not only one specie, but all species know how to build a nest when they are born. I have wondered many times about this, as we as humans have to learn how to build anything over time. Of course, the difference is that we all were born with talents, and if we concentrate on developing our talents, then we will survive. So, springtime has arrived, and we see many nests all over the place, different shapes and sizes built by different bird species. Some bigger birds have messy nests with sticks sticking out all over the place, but the smaller birds build with finesse.
Any case, let me show you how this Southern Masked Weaver (Ploceus intermedius), builds his new home.

He doesn't need a truck to deliver building material:))

As he fetches his own in flight.

And tomorrow, I will show you the wife's inspection of the new house. Watch how excited he was when she was inside.

So, prepare for another post tomorrow of the weaver and his work. Let me just tell you, that the female weavers are very fussy and if she doesn't like the nest, she simply discards it, and the poor guy needs to build another nest somewhere else. At times, some weavers can build 7 nests, and the funny thing is the female will then okay the third nest that he built. Just the thing about fussy females. But let me not tell you everything now, as it will spoil tomorrow's post.
All that I can say here, is that such is a weaver's life.
