A dog chasing a motorbike.

I came to show you the sea mist on the mountains, but will show the dog first.
297.JPG

Bark, bark, bark, as the dog ran across the water to chase the bike.

We reckon that this is the coolest spring season that we have ever had. The weather certainly doesn't play nice at the coastal towns, as while we sit at 15C, the towns, further inland, are sitting at 37C. On the same day at the same time. Even the flamingos haven't arrived yet, as their weatherman recons that it is still too cold at the lake. Another funny thing is that when the cold fronts come in now, there is only fairy soft rain. During our winter period, almost all of the cold fronts bring storms with them, but now no heavy rain, even as the dark clouds cover the sky.
Funny weather that we are having.

The biker was wise, as he knew that if he stopped and switched the bike off then the dog would go away.

Not fun anymore chasing the iron dog, and so the dog ran back to his owner.
305.JPG

But he gave a last bark at the iron dog. !Lol.
No harm done, and once the dog left, the guy on the bike also started up, and drove away. Thankfully no one was hurt.

Okay, let's have a look at the misty mountains.

Misty serenity is what I call the views.

331.JPG

Just to stand in introspection as the views cruise over the camera lens.

A closer look at the lone mountain on our way back.
308.JPG

At the right of the lone mountain is the start of our mountain range that surrounds our town, and the mountain range ends in the sea.
336.JPG

I was so glad at the appearance of the bike and the chasing dog, as it broke the monotony of only another mountain post. Not that I have anything against mountain posts, as we truly love all mountains. But a bit of diversity is always welcome, and a laugh makes things even better.

Talking about dogs, we attended a dog fun day event on the weekend at a local park, and it was so great to see the dogs and the owners having fun at an obstacle course, and some other events. So, I will do a post or two about the event for the animal lovers here on Hive to enjoy. I also posted the event last year, and as the event partnered with a new tree planting effort, we sponsored a tree in honor of our little dog that passed away. We often walk past the tree, and it is growing just fine.
Such is life.

Greetings to all, and until the next time, adios.

I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Now that’s a good technique to scare off the dog, stop and pretend to fight back, so it seems that the dog is just trying to intimidate only !LOLZ

Anyway, the weather you’re having maybe confusing, The views at the background looks wonderful still. Have a great day ahead 👍

That bike pilot is very experienced, and he knew that if he turned the bike's engine off, the dog would go, as he was chasing the sound of the motor.

Glad that you liked the background and have a !BEER

May you also have a good day.

Dogs add so much to any day :) I look forward to seeing the event!

I know you'll always miss your little guy, hopefully he will send a puppy into your life. Or maybe he will help direct a homeless dog your way 🙏

Yep, some say that if we could love like dogs, then our lives would be beautiful. You will see the event soon.

Maybe you are right, but at this stage, the hurt is still raw, and we rather look at the dogs from a distance.

It does hurt to be around them at that stage, until you start to see the individuality of a particular one. Then it's different, like you're seeing what's in front of you instead of a potential replacement or the memories of what was. Unfortunately that only comes by spending time with them, which will be rough at first 😢

I see that you know what the hurt means, but yes, over time we might get a dog again. At the moment we just look at other people and their dogs. Such is life my friend.

They should live longer, but I guess it's because they also have to teach us that there's a time for everything 😢. We have to learn to live in the moment while being happy about the memories we were given. Definitely easier said than done, but it's the price we pay...

Our little guy lived with us since a puppy for 17 years, but well said, as all things must come to an end eventually. Living in the moment is good, but also difficult, as our memories make us who we are.
Certainly, a price to pay.

No, my camera was chasing the dog on its zoom. When the guy switched the motor off, the dog lost interest as the sound was gone. He was chasing the noise of the motor !LOLZ

It’s funny how unpredictable animals can be, and seeing how the weather shifts so drastically between different areas makes me appreciate how unique every place is.

Just imagine how dreary life would be if all animals were docile and dormant. I agree with you, and it's that uniqueness that is so pleasing on one's eyes and mind.
