Silhouette and a Squirrel on a tree
This squirrel was paused for a moment as it was scurrying up this tree, I was able to catch it in time but my settings were quite dark so all I had was a silhouette. As I was shooting in RAW it allowed me a much greater latitude in post process to lighten things up and extract some more detail from this little critter. The second shot is closer to the original exposure and only brightened a little bit to show the difference between a more wholesale edit and a slight one. If a shot is to dark and you have the RAW file it is possible to bring much more out of it if you take the time to play with the exposure and white and black levels so its never a lost shot if you have enough detail in the file to work off.

EXCELENTE TOMA..........
Thank you
Cool
Thanks!
Squirrels are some of the most photogenic creatures out there. Those claws are hanging on to that tree like it's business as usual. Great shots!
They sure are, Im lucky to see them so often and never get bored of seeing more.
