A hidden fox =/= Ein versteckter Fuchs 👹🍣🎎 Wonderful Japan GER-ENG
During one of our little hikes to the top of a mountain, we passed a small, very personal shrine. This was actually just a decorated altar and a statue of the fox goddess Inari, whom I had already met several times here in Japan. Inari is also considered a fertility goddess, and she is often invoked when people ask for a good harvest. Often she comes in fox form and thus she had also made it here on this small mountain to this small shrine. We paused for a moment and let the atmosphere of this place here in the forest take effect on us. A little self-reflection can never hurt and especially here in nature you can listen and feel inside yourself much better.
Nearby there should be another animal wandering around, but we didn't see or hear anything about it that day. Large parts of Japan are bear territory, especially the north of the island, and one representative of this animal species has probably chosen exactly this region here as his territory. Hopefully, there will be no unpleasant encounters and experiences for either man or animal, and our furry friend will continue to pose as a photo model in the future.
Nevertheless, in our world there should be still some place also for fox gods and bears. If necessary, we just move together a little, which is also much more comfortable. Or not?

Während einer unser kleinen Wanderungen sind wir auf einem Berg an einem kleinen, sehr persönlichen Schrein vorbeigekommen. Dieser bestand eigentlich nur aus einem geschmückten Altar und einer Statue der Fuchsgöttinn Inari, welcher ich schon einige Male hier in Japan begegnet war. Inari gilt auch als Fruchtbarkeitsgöttin, und sie wird oft angerufen, wenn sich die Menschen eine gute Ernte erbitten. Oft kommt sie in Fuchsgestalt daher und so hatte sie es auch hier auf diesen kleinen Berg zu diesem kleinen Schrein geschafft. Wir haben dann kurz innegehalten und die Atmosphäre dieses Ortes hier im Wald auf uns wirken lassen. Ein wenig Selbstreflektion kann nie schaden und gerade hier in der Natur kann man viel besser in sich hinein horchen und fühlen.
Ganz in der Nähe soll sich wohl noch ein ganz anderes Tier herumtreiben, von dem wir an diesem Tag aber nichts gesehen und gehört haben. Große Teile von Japan sind Bärengebiet, insbesondere der Norden der Insel, und ein Vertreter dieser Tierart hat sich wohl genau diese Region hier als sein Revier ausgesucht. Hoffentlich gibt es weder für Mensch noch für Tier unangenehme Begegnungen und Erlebnisse und Meister Petz wird auch in Zukunft noch als Fotomodell sich in Pose werfen.
Auf unserer Welt sollte doch auch für Fuchsgötter und Bären noch etwas Platz sein. Notfalls rücken wir halt ein wenig zusammen, das ist ja auch viel gemütlicher. Oder nicht?!
