A small, agreeable incident
As I was looking to the vase with the lovely flowers I remembered an old TV spot from the distant 1983 that goes like:
If a stranger gives you flowers, it is because he was touched by the "IMPULSE"
Where "impulse" is a perfume that promises to seduce any man that smells it :)
A rather naïve advertisement for a rather innocent audience! I looked for it in YouTube (the link is at the bottom of the post) and it is even more artless than I remembered. But it is one of the things that enter our mind during childhood and stuck there for ever :)
The storyline itself is highly improbable. I don't know any people that give or receive flowers from strangers. And yet, the other day @traisto received a beautiful bucket of Narcissus tazetta from someone we didn't really know :)
It didn't happen because of her perfume or because someone was seduced but still, it was a lovely gesture that decorated with beauty and amazing scent, our table!
Actually the whole "incident" happened in a cook shop where we entered to buy some food. @traisto saw the flowers on the counter and exclaimed
What nice flowers!
The lady that cooks, heard her and come with a bunch of them as a gift! And since we live together it was a gift for me too :)
So today as I was thinking of all that, I decided to capture a few images of the bucket and write a few words to share this small agreeable incident!
For one more time my canon EF 100 mm f2.8L macro lens was there for me, performing excellent with the light of the living room window as the only lighting source.
And since it is Sunday, this is my contribution to #SublimeSunday inspired by @c0ff33a and #BeautifulSunday initiated by @ace108.
Have a great week!

Thanks a lot, I am glad you like them!
It was a very kind gesture indeed :)
Your photography is as beautiful as the flowers. The flowers look the same as our national flower - The Sampaguita.
Our Sampaguita is very fragrant and is so cute just like the flower that you captured.
Thank you very much @naymhapz :)
It is a different flower but I can see the resemblance!

I have never tried receiving flowers from strangers though but I love your wise ideas my dear friend. As always you capture wonderful photos. I love that flower and it looks like one of my favorite flowers here in the Philippines. Best regards my friend and keep safe.
Thank you very much @pinkchic :)

You are most welcome my friend and the pleasure is mine. I always see your great photos in various communities here in Hive.
I remember Impulse. Wondering if it still exist, I went to search and found nothing about it on the first page. Have to dig deeper before finding it. I guess it's not the thing anymore.
Yes, it is pretty old! Amazing that you are on the other side of the world and we still have common memories of products :)
I remember thing like Old Spice too though I've never use many of these products that were popular in ads on TV then.
Are these daffodils?
Yes, I think they are. Their latin name is Narcissus tazetta.
UOU! Soooo beautiful!!!
Thanks a lot :)
