Yankee Lake Extras

I’ve got a few more photos from around Yankee lake to show, until we move on to the next lake. This hike today included 3 lakes in total. The next lake is Canuck, and then finally the smallest of the three is Turtle lake. So far, up until now, it has been a real pleasure experiencing the hiking around this area. I think so far, we have only seen about 3 other hikers on the trail, unlike the Banff area, where it is crawling with hikers and tourists everywhere. A very enjoyable change of pace, here in East Kootenay, British Columbia.

the peaceful appearance of the lake, I like the reflection of the white clouds under the turtle bridge.

So why does the Banff lake have more people than this place?

The big tour companies can fly into Calgary, then drive to Banff and Lake Louise easily. There is no large airport hub here in East Kootenay, British Columbia.

Photos that have reflections are always a good idea, the shadows and contrast they create are incredible, they reflect two realities in the same image. @daveks 🤗🤗

It is very special to hike in such distinguished lakes, your photos continue to impress. In those places I would do yoga placidly, like the yoga asana I present today, very good for the posture. Greetings. I look forward to your visit.

Looks like it was a little smoky in that last one, but in B&W it comes out really nicely. The reflection is great in the first picture, gorgeous. And the X marks the spot underwater was pretty cool!

Didn't even notice the X until you pointed it out. Maybe I did subliminaly!
