The Geese are Back
(Edited)
It is that time of the year, the Canadian Geese have returned, after spending the colder months down south somewhere in the US. These Big birds are so unique, nothing quite like them, as far as I know. When the topic of Canada comes up, often people think of maple syrup, them “friendly Canadian people”, the Canada goose, the snow, and them cold sub-zero temperatures! When you think of Canada, what comes to mind?

For me the cold temperature of Canada😊 Canada is very open to the immigrants. 😊
Especially when the temperatures get warmer.
Yeah. Seeing the post from social media, Canada is a great place to live. According to them.😊
I was chased by a goose once, now I don't trust them. It looks like you had to get close to take these shots so you're braver than I am. Nice photos.
I know, definitely don't want to get too close, or get pecked..
These pictures are beautiful, when I think of Canada the first thing that comes to my mind is snow hahaha
Yes a popular choice: snow and ice.
Nice close up shots. I haven't seen them though I have read about them. First time Iam seeing them so closw
Interesting Big birds they are. Thanks.
Oh wow good friend these shots are are perfect and beautiful. The Canadian Geese are so magical looking, looks like something in the Disney Movies. They're such majestic creatures, but I once had a run-in with one, and now I'm a bit wary around them😁😁😁 but they're so beautiful
Best to watch your step around these Big fellas, as you found out first hand (me too in the past).
Wait you too😳😳😳 they are not to be messed with 😂 !LOLZ lovely pictures man
Nice shots and the Geese are always fun to watch. When I think of Canada now at my age, is my ancestry that I don't know much about, well as in family but I own mostly every book on the Mi'Kmaq. Plus all the things you mentioned too. Have a blessed one my friend.
Interesting. What part of Canada are the Mi’Kmaq from?
The Mi'kmaq are a First Nations people of the Northeastern Woodlands, indigenous to the areas of Canada's Atlantic Provinces, primarily Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and the Gaspé Peninsula of Quebec as well as Native Americans in the northeastern region of Maine.
I didn’t realize that they were from the far eastern region of Canada. That is very far from the Rockies. Thanks for the information.
Lovely creatures @daveks friend!

First thing? Lots of mountains and snow! The geese are pretty birds, too bad they aren't so friendly. You got some great captures there!

The zoom lens really comes in handy, allowing me to stay a “safe” distance away. Thanks @thebighigg.
Love those goose neck pictures long necks.
Love them red necks, I mean long necks!
