Stumps

(Edited)

So I’m thinking about what to post about today, and then I saw the tree stump photo I took during a stroll through the forest (in the Cranbrook area). A beautiful specimen of a stump! Nearby, it’s fallen friend, lies quietly. These are some of the things that make walks through the forest so enjoyable. Last Saturday on a different hike, we came across the biggest mushroom I’ve ever seen. It was just enormous! Photos to come soon. What is your favourite part about walks through the forest?

Those are some nice stumps! My favorite part of walking in a forest is being in a forest. I technically love in a desert region so any type of foliage is awesome.

Yes, understandable. Couldn't imagine living in a desert region. Thanks.

Mossy stumps to look beautiful! We keep a dozen around our summer place. I am strongly after color version in such case. ☘️ !BEER

The stumps really capture the forest’s character. I always like how nature leaves behind such unique details. Great shots brother

That's interesting! You can see just how much water there is by all of the moss growing. Nature breaking down the wood slowly over the years... I kind of like the color take on these because of all of the green. Interesting detail in monochrome though. You can see a lot on hikes if you just take the time to look around and enjoy it!

Yes, the forest is a goldmine of various photo ops! By the way, I’m going for 200 staked duo soon.

Thanks, that's great news. It's doing better than we anticipated and getting ready to start up dividends Aug.1st!

Too bad it's gotten so hot, it makes those hikes a lot harder! Fall is coming pretty quickly which is a little scary. Seems like if was just New Years!

Good angle on the one with lots of moss. I like walking and praying. But I also like to see the complex nature around me.
