Lake Oddities
Ever heard of a log flume? Neither did I (or maybe you did), until coming to this lake. Well, I’ve seen videos of logs making their way down rivers, funnelled by a flotation water system, but never knew it was called a “flume”. Kinda of a strange word. The first picture shows you part of the flume, which is right beside the lake, Cooper Lake. They say it was operational in the 1920’s or so, but it didn’t actually look or appear to be that old for some reason. It was odd. Then we stumbled across different bones lying around, also odd. Finally, a lake outhouse, which seemed out of place, as this lake was like a ghost town. Maybe it is a ghost lake now.

I had heard the term before. In fact, I've seen a fair few remnants of old flumes in my area!
First time for me seeing one in real life. Interesting.
Silverwood Theme Park has a "log flume" ride, and more relevant to this topic, Falls Park in Post Falls has a lot of leftover logging infrastructure including a flume.
I've heard this is a great theme park. I suppose there must be a lot of old flumes leftover from yesteryear, here and there.
I worked there cough years ago. Prices are much higher now. To be fair, the park has expanded and the US dollar has lost value.

On Hive a significant issue exists with automatic upvotes consistently rewarding the same individuals day in and day out
We want to address the issue of downvoting. It has caused pain to many people, and we want to make sure it doesn't happen again reply to @jacobtothe

We hope that those who genuinely care about Hive will reconsider their actions, as continuing down this path could inadvertently harm innocent users who are unaware of these issues

Consider revising the value plan, as it's not providing significant benefits to HIVE
The Value Plan, as it stands, seems to be a one-sided relationship with the HIVE platform, where the benefits are one-way
Actions indeed speak louder than words, a fact we've all observed individuals may talk a good game, a whole lot of shit, but their actions often expose their genuine nature LOL
We consider it unwise to engage in harmful actions, even if you think you can escape the repercussions

On Hive, there's a user who frequently burns a significant amount of Hive LOL with his own accounts
How To Fool An Entire Population
it's so, so concerning to see Blocktrades delegating 2+ million Hive power to Buildawhale, and Buildawhale is downvoting legitimate content
We began sharing factual information following unwarranted downvotes on Hive it's all in the transactions
Upon examining our posts, you will notice they have been downvoted, and we've been labeled as scammers and spammers, which we find amusing. We consistently share new content
Once again, we ask why is our legit content being downvoted on Hive and what is the reason behind it. Hivewatchers ADM spaminator steemcleaners guiltyparties logic

Such beautiful pictures 👍
Thanks.
I've never heard of a wooden sewer, all I've seen are wooden bridges. btw your shots are very beautiful.
Yes, thanks for looking.
Such interesting finds! I know I would be scared of being there all alone, finding all of the things you did. Isn't that how many horror movies start? Jokes aside, stunning photographs!
Well we were a small group, so not too bad. If I would have been solo that day, then hmmm.
Yeah, never good to hike alone! But sometimes, there is something good about hiking alone, the solitude with the quiet of nature accompanying you. But it remains dangerous. Enjoy!
I've never heard of flume, but they look like carefully placed logs, didn't know it can be caused by nature.
They are built to guide logs down stream, using the power of water and gravity to send them from one location to another. Interesting!
The natural beauty is extraordinary and the water in that place looks quite clear.
Thanks for visiting.
I love the look of wood. Even when it's sun baked and rotting it often looks so marvelous.
I can't say that outhouse looks that marvelous though. I'm sure some desperate hiker has used it rather than the woods at some point.
That old broken wall looks pretty awesome though.
Of course the lake vista with the small stream as well. Or is that simply a larger portion of a river in the background of the picture?
How do you like the Huawei P40 Pro? I can't say I'm familiar with it.
That pic is on the other side of the flume, and is the point of entry I'd say.
The phone has a built in Leica lens, which is really the only reason I bought it. No google App Store either. Photography and texting is all I do on it. Thanks for stopping by.
I suggest to check this one out guys www.minepi.com/zdigital huge airdrops. Going live this early 2025.
These are really nice, I have heard of log flume but never came across one to this date. That tree swoop is so cool, love trees like that, also did you take a bathroom break there? Haha, awesome work my friend.
No bathroom break for me lol, thanks for the comment.
Good old logging flumes! I've only read about those, cool that you found one still in existence. I guess that place is a haunted lake with everything abandoned. Was that the residential toilet you found outside that old house?
That twisted tree is really cool, it must have been damaged and regrew weird. Great shots as always!
It was sort of tucked away in the woods actually, not even really close to much else, so weirdly placed. Thanks for stopping by.
This lake view is nice and capturing such photos through a phone is cool. Huawei P40 Pro must be a good phone. Have a nice day @daveks
