Fallen Logs

I find fallen shoreline logs super photogenic. Imagine sitting on this log, casting a few lines into the water, chatting with friends or a significant other, reading a good book, having a snack or lunch, whittling, scrolling through your photo camera roll, dreaming, posting to Hive, or planning your next hiking adventure. I wonder how long it will take for this log to decompose? I wonder if it will be here next time we visit this lake? Looking forward to answering that question in the future!

Agreed. I have quite a few photos of logs on beaches from visits to the PNW. They’re beautiful, they’re interesting, they’re very photogenic.

The first one almost looks like a rock; it's so solid. I think it's also artful and could be presented as a natural sculpture in the city, but it's much better for it to stay there with its beautiful surroundings. Beautiful shot 👍

Indeed, nice to have a proper separation between nature and the city. Thanks for the comment.

Fallen logs and specially those in monochrome are like coming from other worlds. They could be objects from the Moon or even from Mars...

I see that. Good observation!

The cycle of nature, the old fall and decay away while the young flourish. Beautiful pictures... I kind of like the monochromes on these for some reason, they came out great!

Something about fallen logs and black & white that seem to go together!
