A Simple and Clear Skin
I have grown up to realize that most times we are more mindful of our skin as we become an adult. When I was in high school, I had terrible skin. My face was very rough and I had some of my classmates nicknamed me pimple girl. I would always go home and complain to my mom. She would say it’s puberty and I would outgrow it. I was embarrassed most times as I would always get opinions from people on what to use for my face without me asking them.
I was so surprised that when I got into University, my face was clear and my skin didn’t have dark spots or even pimples. I was so happy when I noticed it. A few times when I ran into my high school classmates they kept asking me what I had used for my skin. Funny how during that time I didn’t care about skincare products, it was just my soap, body wash and water. I didn’t even use much on my skin. I think my mom was right then, it was just puberty at that stage.
Over the years, I have grown to realize that my skin is very important to me, but then I try to stay on budget. Skincare products are very expensive these days and most days I am thankful that my skin isn’t so difficult to maintain. I have seen people who spend a lot on skincare and still their skin does not care. It could be frustrating especially when you know that the prices of these products are super expensive.
I know how sensitive my face is, especially with the fact that just one wrong product on my face causes a lot of pimples and even acne. Aside from my usual soap and body wash which I use for a softer and clearer skin, when it comes to my face I just use my Cleanser, moisturizer, and vitamin C serum. These have helped maintain my face. More so, I try to change my pillowcase regularly because I know that could also damage my face if the pillowcase is dirty. I think with my Cleanser, moisturizer, and vitamin C serum my face is good to go.
When it comes to my body, I have a very dry skin and most times this could cause breakouts for me. I have come to understand the kind of skin I have so I try to maintain it without doing too much. Knowing that I have very dry skin, I stick to my body oil and also vaseline. These two have helped to maintain my skin and keep it away from breakouts.
Knowing that these skincare products are expensive, I am very happy that I have come to understand my kind of skin, and that way I get things that are good for it. I do not need to buy every skincare product I come across because I know what my skin needs. More so, I try to take a lot of water. This is one hack that has helped me with my skin as well. Drinking more water, helps my skin to stay clear and healthy.
I am always happy that I can keep it simple with my skincare products and my skin still looks clean and clear.

Oh, I totally relate! Back in high school, I had my fair share of pimple breakouts, and it really affected my confidence. Luckily, I found some great skincare products that helped me out. I loved using Dove and Vaseline to keep my skin moisturized! Thanks for sharing your experience, it’s nice to know we’re not alone!
You are welcome. I hope your skin is clearer now😊
Wow. Are we using the same cream? I started using pure Almond Oil recommended by my sister this year while the Dove, it's the soap I use. I haven't tried using the lotion cream.
I never had pimples on my face and I feel so proud of it. My younger sister still has big boils of pimples on her face and had stop using different skincare when none was working for her. I guess they will clear away when it's time.
Oh, that almond oil really helps with my skin breakage. I don't use Dove lotion, just the body wash. I have tried the soap once but not for me though.
Thank you for stopping by Princess😊
