The Best Rock and Metal Riffers: Who Has the Most Powerful Riff?
Good evening, gentlemen, I want to do a survey among hive users to decide which band has the best riff in one of their songs.
I'm going to do two survey posts, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, in those posts I'll write 10 band names and from that band I'll put a song that contains a riff at the beginning of a song.
In order to enter the survey and be able to vote, I'm going to set some rules and how the voting will be done.
What are the rules for entering the survey?
- There are no rules, just leave a comment
Rules for voting
- You can only vote for one song per post: (1 vote on Tuesday and another on Thursday)
- Tuesday's vote cannot be the same as Thursday's
List of candidates for the best band with the best riff
Here I will write the names of the bands and the position they will have for your votes.
These are the top 10 bands
- Jimi Hendrix (The Jimi Hendrix Experience)
The legacy he left us
Although Mr. Hendrix had a very short life due to excesses, the impact he had on the international scene, his musical impact was and still is enormous. Today Hendrix is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is the first African American to bring that culture to rock "God Save the King"
2.- Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)
3.- Eric Clapton (Cream, Derek and the Dominos)
4.- Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath)
Great song "Paranoid" is considered one of the best and most influential heavy metal albums of all time, leaving a legacy that has inspired countless bands within the genre. It was going to be a filler song and look where the song became epic "what a riff, good gentlemen"
5.- Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones)
My goodness, I've put up five bands with their songs, I can see that things are going to be very close, hehehehehe
6.- Eddie Van Halen (Van Halen)
7.- Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple, Rainbow)
8.- David Gilmour (Pink Floyd)
9.- Angus Young (AC/DC)
10.- Slash (Guns N' Roses)
Well here you have the first 10 songs, so leave a comment saying which one you choose and on Tuesday I will post the ranking by votes. Next Tuesday I will post another 10 songs from other groups.
I don't care if you don't see this post, what I want is for you to participate, I would like that more than a vote.
So tomorrow more and better, gentlemen.
I vote for Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)
Damn, you really make it difficult, they are all very good, but I'll stick with Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath)
If it were easy this would be very boring. Thank you very much for your comment.
Eric Clapton (Cream, Derek and the Dominos)
