Precious Moments and Precious Metals
It's been a couple years since @mrsbozz and I have been able to camp during the Memorial Day Weekend in the US. Last year we were at a concert down in Ohio that was absolutely phenomenal, and two years ago we were also down in Ohio watching our oldest niece graduate from high school.
Next year we will have to skip camping again on this particular weekend as that same nieces younger sister will be graduating from high school.
One of the good things about camping this weekend is the fact that we were able to spend some time with my wife's best friend Sarah and her husband @diamonddave. It's been a long time since I have seen David and he has been going through some major medical issues.
I created a Hive account for him quite some time ago, but it was just last night that I finally had him install the Ecency app and I got his account set up so he could start participating on Hive.
This is one of his first posts. I've already talked to him about including some photos in his post. I also encouraged him to do a proper Intro post so people can get to know him a little better before he dives right into the story of his health issues.
Believe me, it's been rough. I've been in close contact with him since all of this started and it has not been an easy path for him. Seeing him for the first time in a while yesterday was a bit of a shock. He has lost over 100 pounds and he almost doesn't look like the same person. He still has his winning personality though and we were soon sitting around the campfire like old times.
As I was towing our trailer to the campground on Friday afternoon. I couldn't help but think of this meme I saw a while ago and I wanted to share it with you. Thankfully, @mrsbozz isn't that kind of wife, but I secretly I think there are a few times I have scared her with my driving.
Even though she isn't like that, I think we have all been in a car at least once with someone who is. It's a whole different world when you are pulling 7000 to 8000 pounds behind you going 60 to 70 mph down the road! That three mile heads up on someone stopping ahead of you probably isn't so far off!
Also thankfully, @mrsbozz is a lot more attractive and a lot less "karen" looking than the lady in the photo above!
I'm goin got make a quick shift from precious moments shared with friends this weekend to precious metals. I shared last week about a local silver pourer who has been reselling special items through one of our local bullion dealers. I wanted to share a couple more pieces from him for you folks. These aren't pieces I have purchased myself, but given the quality, if I had the money, I totally would!
These first pieces I saw a while ago and when I showed them to my buddy @a4xjeeper, I think he actually may have picked one or two of them up when he went to get our Coca Cola rounds. He runs his own business and while my crypto assets may dwarf his, his real world assets dwarf mine. Picking up something like this simply because he likes it requires no second guessing from him.
Personally, I just think the detail is really impressive. Right down to the logo on the grip of the piece. Very cool if you ask me!
This second piece I shared a while ago in the SilverGoldStackers Discord channel. I know there are a fair number of people there who enjoy anything pirate related or ship related. I felt like this piece was something they would really get a kick out of.
These sand cast pieces continue to amaze me each time I see a new one advertised. I have come to understand just how dangerous this whole silver stacking/collecting thing can be. I never really attributed FOMO to concepts outside of crypto before, but I am totally feeling it with these. If I didn't have more self control, I would likely buy every single piece that came across my news feed.
I dropped a referral link my original post from last week. If you want to check it out and look at their online store, go ahead and follow it. They have a loyalty club, so if you buy stuff you earn points. I do as well when you use my referral link.
The weather has been pretty amazing and I am kind of sad that we have to leave to head home tomorrow. This is usually our inaugural weekend of camping for the summer, but @mrsbozz and I jumped the gun by going a couple of weeks ago. Despite that, it still finally feels like the summer has officially started now.

I hope your frend be soon ok 👀👌👌 ...
if you can't go hiking on one particular day, then you can always look for a new week.
I think I am going to try and get out this week and play some disc golf. That is usually good exercise!
Not bad 😄😄👌👌 ...
I gotta check out Bay City Bullion!
If I buy I’ll go through link on the other post 👍
Thank you!
lol, my wife is one of those for sure. Even after years, I still have to threaten to pull over and let her drive about 5 - 10 trips (down from every trip, when I did finally pull over and get out, and refused to drive anywhere for 3 months). Love those .45's in silver. I agree that could be dangerous for my wallet as well.
Haha, that is pretty funny. I don't think I would ever have the cajones to actually pull over and get out!
It was definitely a rough day. But like the third time on a single trip for no good reason other than she was crabby. The gap of time letting her drive was better received for sure. Far better was later I just started going to the passenger side and when she asked if I was driving I just said not unless she agreed to no comments. She still does the invisible brake or hand grab once in a while, but it's definitely gotten better. Now for the occasional burst, I just ask if she wants to drive and it stops. One of those things that needs to be worked through sometimes.
That burning wood or something flaming looks freaking awesome! Camping is such something that never grows old.
Thanks! It was lumber from an old workbench that my friend tore apart.
Camping is a wonderful experience! 🌲✨ There is nothing like disconnecting from the hustle and bustle of the city and connecting with nature.
That flame looks incredible.
Thank you and I totally agree with you. We love visiting these remote places.
Sad to hear about @diamonddave 's struggle health wise. I hope things improve for him, I know what it's like to go through those issues as well as you do! Glad you got out for the weekend, that always feels good!
Those silver 1911's are really sweet, and a little too expensive for me at the moment. It would be fun to be able to pick one of those up!
Ty !
You're welcome, it really sucks not to be well!
I totally agree, if I had the extra cash I would totally buy them. I don't though. It was really hard seeing how much he has deteriorated. He has a health team looking after him and a plan to live a full life though.
I feel lucky to have supported such a great artisan as Sup!!!. This is one of his early pours:
Very cool!
I hope there are lots of interesting camping spots in the US, the forests and mountains are very extreme and I like them.
In my state alone we have a ton of really great spots to camp. There aren't a ton of mountains here, but we have plenty of water!
Some beautiful pieces but also fairly steep price points but with a works like these at least it makes more sense !BBH
Yeah, I am guessing the fact that they are hand poured adds to the premium a bit.
Yeah some pieces can take a lot of work !BBH
I'm kind of having second thoughts on the sailing ship.
