Greetings to you all in this community @diyhub, I hope you are all doing great just as I am doing here, I believe you are all having great time as well with your creativity. It is my pleasure to share with you the making of this little drawstring bag with 3 compartments for gift item made from a single piece of fabric.

Christmas is fast approaching and it is time to give out gift to people around us regardless of how small it could be, to do this, I decided to make a simple gift bag that can be used to package the gift items, starting with, I made this little drawstring bag and I found out that it's looking so nice, well you might be wondering why I decided to make this, I believe people prefer and appreciate homemade and hand made creativity more than going to buy a gift pack and besides this will help me to safe more from the cost of buying them. I love my creativity and I'm proud of what I do.

As little as it is, it has 3 compartments for different gift items, it is very easy, simple and quick to make.

Let me take you through the cutting and sewing process.

I measured and cut out a square shape of 14 x 14" from the main fabric

It was taken to the sewing machine as I folded the edges round and sew on the 4 edges.

It was folded to a triangle shape on the wrong side and I measured 4" from the top of it to the both sides, it was then connected with a straight line and I sew on it.

It was opened to the middle with the sewn area as well before it was turned inside out to the right side.

I folded it in two to locate the mid point and I sew on the straight line from on end to the other.

I folded one side of the pointed side in by 4" and sew on it with ½" from the base.

The same process was repeated on the other side as well.

I folded it together on the wrong side with the every side being equal, I sew on both sides and turned it to the right side

To make the rope, I cut out 2 pieces of bias strip of 25", it was folded and sewn together

It was inserted into the loop on one side and the other.

This is the final outcome of the little drawstring bag with 3 compartments I made for gift items.

This is how it looks with some items in it and when I draw the strings.
