What is it all about? It is not there to just give a stat. It is there to give MY review of the unit!

Also this has become quite the Challenge! With so many units to review in the game the consensus in the hobby community is that I will not have enough time to review all of the Datasheets before the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 came out.

I should have started when 10th edition launched!
448 days since the start of 10th Edition.
This is Review #136, I am 312 reviews behind!

Not picking randomly at the moment, I am focusing on Blood Angels to get them done before their new Codex comes out!

Blood Angels, Death Company Dreadnought

10th Edition Index

Just as much as it is possible for the hale-bodied Blood Angel Brothers to go crazy and be put into the Death Company, so too can Dreadnoughts succumb to the maddening visions of the Horus Heresy and RAGE!

The Death Company Dreadnoughts are deployed where their fury and frenzy can be put to its greatest use. Equipped with either Furioso Fists or Blood Talons, they tear through most enemies.

It is 145pts to field a Death Comapany Dreadnought and to buy one, you purchase the Furioso Dreadnought box at $62.50 and paint it black instead of red! Ok, an oversimplification... there is some heraldry that changes... but that's it.

Still on sale so I think that means that the 3x Chapter Specific Dreadnoughts are making it into the new Codex!

Weapons

Initial Armament see two Furioso Fists, Storm Bolter and Meltagun.
The Fists can be exchanged for Talons. Either of the ranged guns(or both) can be exchanged with Heavy Flamers.

He can also take a Magna-Grapple!

Ranged:

Storm Bolter

Range 24", 2 Attacks, Hits on a 3+, S4, Ap 0, 1 Damage each
Rapid Fire 2 (At half range of 12, he gets 2x additional attacks)

Meltagun

Range 12", 1 Attack, Hits on a 3+, S9, Ap -4, D6 Damage each
Melta 2 (At half range of 6", add 2 to the Damage of this weapon.)

Heavy Flamer

Range 12", D6 Attacks, Auto Hits, S5, Ap -1, 1 Damage each
Torrent (This weapon automatically hits, just roll a D6 to see how many attacks it gets)
Ignores Cover (Enemies to not get Benefit of Cover against this attack)

Melee:

Twin Furioso Fists

5 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S12, Ap -3, 3 Damage each
Twin-linked (You can re-roll To Wound Rolls)

Blood Talons

7 Attacks, Hitting on 3+, S8, Ap -2, 3 Damage each
Twin-linked (You can re-roll To Wound Rolls)

Wargear Abilities

Magna-grapple

The Dreadnought loses the Smoke keyword most Astartes Vehicles has and instead gets a re-roll on the Charge if the target is a Vehicle or a Monster.

Abilities

Feel No Pain 6+

Frenzied Reprisal

Whenever this Dreadnought becomes the target of an attack, after the attack is resolved, this Dreadnought can either Shoot or Fight as though it is your Shooting or Fight phase.

This means he can really stack up and tear into an enemy as long as he is alive, he dishes up massive amounts of damage!

Black Rage

This Dreadnought has a permanent re-roll To Hit!
Also, if he is not within 12" of a Chaplain, he can never Fall Back and becomes OC 0.

Thoughts

Go all in for close range and close combat! Meltagun and Heavy Flamer is the way to go!

Twin Furioso Fists is for anti-tank/monster but Blood Talons are well good at taking out Space Marines and even Terminators! (Heaviest of Infantry) Even Custodes would hate for him to charge them!

That makes 10 Blood Angels Reviewed putting them on 52.63% Completed! The total Completed is 14% Complete! Can I review them all?!
