Cat and Mouse or maybe, water and oil are sometimes the life of a married couple. There is love so sweet but it’s unavoidable when sometimes one another is burning with fire that is untouchable. Even so, the love inside is braver to endure everything and if not, the love for children is way deeper. It’s true because of the children but thanks to them, the love so sweet to one another will be remembered like the old days.

“We never thought that they would last longer. They fought almost everyday, sometimes we accompanied Father to fetch Mother who went because of misunderstandings. Yet, here you are, staying forever and even stronger than and it lasts for 50 years.”

There might be secrets for staying together despite what’s happening. Love is sometimes not enough because love itself is sometimes fragile that it breaks like a glass. Love is selfish indeed but sometimes becomes unselfish when it’s too much and when giving privilege is abused.

“I was young back then and immature when we got married. I ended up staying late at night outside and forgot to go home. I did not forget that I am a father but the happy happenings caught me doing silly things. We ended up fighting with my wife because of what I did and I felt responsible for it. I then fetched her to come back home together with the children.”

There is no perfect relationship and there is no perfect marriage. There is always a wall that sometimes blocks the path to connect one another; Can’t see, can’t hear and even can’t feel. There is more to test the love for one another. Challenges that sometimes we thought of giving up. Love for an opposite sex is breakable especially when the couples submit that they are not really compatible.

Love is blind they say but lovers are not. The mistakes and flaws are not always being ignored. No matter how strong love is, when someone on the other side tries to cut the ties. Of course, it’s possible that the rope that ties them together will be loosen up.

However, when God is in the center and that was God who gave a gift to have children. The almost falling relationship that to the brick will be climbed on. Endurance, perseverance and slowly, the home that was once destroyed will be rebuilt again. The love of the old days will not always be sweeter but when planted with flowers. The beauty of being together will be visible to the eyes of couples. Together with the beauty of being found, the flaws and mistakes are now being accepted because there is no home without a family waiting. Also, there is no life without a family.

So, congratulations on 50 years of marriage and love. Whatever the reasons you each have for being together for such a long time. Both of you are the best example that in this world, there is FOREVER, in love and together.
