Abaca Cafe | Where Food And Conversations Meet

If someone would ask me for a recommendation of a place with good food, accessible location, and intimate vibe, Abaca is the place! I love all the foods in their menu and the serving size is totally worth it for the price. As for its location, Abaca is located at the heart of the City, perfect for a quick meeting, catch up with friends, or dates.

Being a food enthusiast, i now know that there are some restaurants that are only aesthetically pleasing but their food service is not worth it. While some restaurants are the opposite, good food but not aesthetically pleasing. Its difficult to have both, plus a convenient location.

The aesthetic of Abaca is a minimalist, black and white interior. Their walls are filled with picture frames. Although I'm curious about the story each frames, which made me realized that i haven't taken a look of the frame clearly.


My go to order in this restaurant will always be their kimchi rice with meat on top. Their serving size is huge and could be for two people. I remember going out on my first dinner date in this place. My date was shocked when i ate his food because he didn't know that it was for sharing. So from then on, it became his first impression of me. haha. What an unforgettable moment!



Most of their menu are brunch meals that could be eaten at any time of the day. Tonight's dinner consists of Kimchi rice, meaty wrap with mozzarella cheese, and clam chowder soup. On some Abaca branches, they offer 50% off on their breads and pastries for their closing sale, 30 minutes before 10pm. Unfortunately, this branch doesn't offer such sale.

After eating our meal, we hopped in to another establishment for dessert, despite being so full already. There's always a room for desserts, as they say.
