A Christmas Day

Santa Claus didn't come over. It all started when my mum decided to wake I and my sisters up to go for the Christmas morning service. We never really go so you can imagine the shock on our faces when we realized she was making us go. At first,we like okay,pulled up simple dresses and decided to just follow her lead.

It was 9am now and we had just come back from service and we're at home. It was time to prepare the Christmas food and stuff. As the eldest child of my mother's four children,you can guess who got the brunt of all the cooking. It was I. I was so exhausted when I was done and even forgot to take pictures. I didn't actually forget to take pictures. I have a low standard camera so I tend to keep to myself when it comes to taking pictures;)

Anyways,I was done with everything and it was 12pm now. I wasn't feeling the Christmas energy so you could guess my mood. I was confused and weirded out. I needed that energy. "There are guests yet so that's probably why I'm not feeling it", I told myself.

They say Christmas is all about giving, spending time with those you care about and just being merry and happy. That's what we did, exactly. My cousins and some of my aunts and uncles came over. We talked,laughed some more and I was just...happy. There was nothing to think about asides from the fact I have a semester exam starting January and I haven't read anything concerning any course, it was all good. When I reach that bridge, I'll cross it.

It was Christmas evening now and we decided to just see a movie together,at home. It was my time to shine. I had been on standby for some really good movies to watch today. We started off by seeing "The Red One" which was an amazing movie by the way,I totally recommend. And then we ended it with,"The Grinch". A classic Christmas movie!😂

Rounding this off with my genuine gratitude for being amongst my family. Not just because I got to eat a lot or anything,but I don't know, the food during Christmas just hits so different! Anyways the day is almost over and I hope your day was as pretty as mine. Mine was boring actually but we have to be positive and live in denial sometimes!❤️
