The value of 1000 dollars to me
We all make use of money on a daily basis. For transportation, food, and so on. In truth without money one can barely do anything. This is why almost everyone is constantly striving towards getting enough money.
1000 dollars is a lot of money here in Nigeria. 1 dollar is currently 600 naira so 1000 dollars is 600,000 naira and with the way the value of naira is dropping it could be more before the end of the year. I mean, it was just around 500 at the start of the year.
Earning a thousand dollars on a monthly basis would be incredible for me. 40% would cover my monthly expenses, 30% will go into savings, and the remaining 30% will go into investments. These investments could birth even more wealth and guarantee the absolute financial freedom I'm striving to achieve. Moreover I'll also have the rollover of the savings from last month incase of anything important that requires a large sum. It'll be a dream come true.
Bear in mind that I am a single young man. If I were to be married with two kids, I'd say the money will be just about enough to cover our needs as long as we don't go overboard. As then they'd be children's school fees, and more mouths to feed, as well as clothing and other things.
Also, as I consistently earn a thousand dollars every month, it starts to get easier as more savings are being accumulated. Then with the right financial decisions my standard of living will gradually improve.
In conclusion, I think with a thousand dollars on a monthly basis I'd be able to live comfortably while also building towards financial freedom, as that's the goal.

Omo, being single is different from having mouths to feed.
I just realized this week that it takes a lot to feed extra mouths.
The reason is because I had been staying alone but in the last two weeks my expenses has doubled if not tripled sef because I currently have someone staying for the meantime with me.
This morning, I woke up and realized I am broke 😂😂😂
Normally, the amount of money i have spent because of the extra person would have been been enough to last me alone for the rest of the month.
I don't even know where the money for feeding and other expenses for this week will come from
I use to boast that I can manage my money when it was just me. Now, I realized it's different when you have a family.
But it's all good. I know this period of having to cater for this person is teaching me what it will take when I have a family in the future.
