Punjabi Cultural Murals| Street Art Constest #224

This year I did so much traveling. 2024 would be the year with so much travel history. There are so many reasons behind it. There is a myth in society that "if you travel on the first day of the year then you will travel the whole year"

Last week, I traveled from my city, Hafizabad, to Islamabad. I study over there, that's why I always have to swing between these two cities. Sometimes, I come back home, and then I travel back to my university. Although the road is the same, experience changes all the time.

In the middle of our travel journey, We usually get a break to have some relaxing time. That's why we stopped at a resting area. When I came down from the bus, I saw an artist who was madly busy with his artwork. He was painting the wall.

With the help of artwork, The old culture of Punjab was shown on the wall. Two women were portrayed. These women were wearing typical Punjabi dresses. One woman was carrying A Matka(Pitcher) on her head. She is going towards the well to take water from the well.

The other woman is sitting and designing a pitcher. She is sitting along with domestic birds like chickens and pigeons.

The colors were still fresh. It depicts that this artwork is new to all these passengers who dropped there. The messed up situation of colors appealed to my attention.

On the other half of the wall, A Horse rider was shown.
The man is riding a horse with a full gallop. The man is wearing a white turban and a yellow shirt. He is carrying a stick, and it's a game that is popular in Punjab's culture.

The background shows the dirt path which is also a depiction of Punjab. It's about the culture of the region.
