INGLÉS

Greetings, friends who love architecture, it is a pleasure to greet you, wishing that you have had a happy Christmas with your loved ones. On this occasion, I share my visit to Paseo Caroní in the city of Puerto Ordaz, Bolívar state, Venezuela. This city is an important center of industrial development of the Bolívar state together with San Félix, since the main companies in Guayana that process iron and aluminum minerals, among others, are located there; It is a modern city so to speak, a metropolis that stands out for its long highways and wide roads, Paseo Caroní is an important meeting point and reference in the city, which is beautifully decorated every year during the Christmas season, my visit to this charming place was in daylight hours; since the place of lodging is quite far from this area, but still I could appreciate the beautiful decorations that were placed in this walk, which covers more than two kilometers, the decorations are divided by station in this opportunity my visit focused on the station “The baby Jesus has arrived! “which begins with a poster promoting the city of Guayana and a message for those who visit the city; the message says: “The baby Jesus has arrived! and with him, the renewal of the Christian faith is announced, a new opportunity for deep reconciliation, lasting peace and love for all humanity. Regardless of race, creed or borders, we are called to act, to be part of the destiny of this space we occupy, of this earth for which we serve and for which we are responsible. Blessed are the women and men of good will!
Smile, feel at home, take pictures, but above all, take care of this space that is for you”. With this beautiful message we welcome families and individuals to enjoy these spaces that have been decorated for the enjoyment of young and old.

A space that I really liked were the wooden swings, these are rustic and traditional that evoke the old times where our ancestors built the chairs, tables, with wood in a rudimentary way, it is a perfect place to take pictures and combines very well with the environment, which is very spacious and a spectacular walk that is located between the avenue Caroni walk and the north south street number 4, in the promenade area you can see many trees which also have many lights that are visible at night.

Continuing with the tour there is a girl who goes to the well to collect water, also a shepherd with his staff, both ornaments, like the previous ones, are made of rebar and lined with lights, we continue moving forward and reach my favorite part of the season; The manger, in which we can see Mary, Joseph, the baby Jesus, the mule and the ox in a small wooden circle decorated with branches. According to information from a resident, this decoration was inspired by the traditional Christmas bonus Run horse, behind them there is an Angel also made of iron and closer we can see the images of José María and the child beautifully decorated with brown, green, gold and silver colors that remind us of the characteristic shine of this time of year, On the sides of the walk you can see several constructions and buildings that stand out for their size, some correspond to companies, residences and hotels strategically located in the center of the city, it is an area with a lot of vehicular traffic, since it leads to important points of the city.

I loved visiting this place and as always I went in the company of my son, my adventure partner, he enjoyed visiting each station, taking photos and getting to know a new area of the national territory, it was a very fun and relaxing trip that allowed him to rest a little on vacation and getting to know other areas of Venezuela, personally I liked the decoration theme, as it highlights the traditional games, which are an important part of the national culture, the decoration is a creative way to make these games known to the people. time they beautify the walk.

Hello @belkyscabrera. I visited this city many years ago. I recognize some of the surroundings it presents; others the different memories. Puerto Ordaz is an industrial city with many historical sites.
Thank you for sharing your visit and bringing us closer to one of the iconic cities of Venezuela.
Happy weekend.

Yes you are right different riders we have ridden as kids or grown up. But it really is a matter of great experience. Because adults are often afraid to get on these riders. Thank you very much.

I really liked this year the theme of how several squares in my city were decorated too, especially because I hadn't been in the country for years. I see that in your city they were also very well decorated.
