Taking Retirement From The Novice and Bronze Tournaments
Heya Splinterfam's
Yes, you are reading it correctly I Xawi retiring myself from #Novice and #bronze league tournaments. Today when I checked in for #Bronze tournament I noticed one thing that it is totally unfair with the newbies. If I am playing in Diamond league I am already getting enough good percentage of DECs. Since I am #SplinterWarrior of #TheNeoxianGuild and our guild is maxed therefore when we play a single ranked battle we earn a good amount of decs.
Anyways Let's get to the main point so I was talking about lower league tournaments. I am here just talking about myself and it's my view what I think about this.
I am a Diamond league player and when I play Novice or bronze league tournaments. I always get a dirty feeling there are many factors. First, it takes a lot of time reason we all know why Since its lower league tournaments so all newbies try to play and of course everyone wants to earn some good decs by playing tournaments. Don't we? yea this is why we don't even want to miss lower-level tournaments for our newbie friends.
It's human Nature I know and I admit we all are greedy in different ways but the point is the way I felt today while playing bronze tournament when I defeated a player2000 points lesser than mine so I actually felt really bad. It wasn't winning at all. Later on, I decided to play further just I had this thought in my back of the mind That's enough this one is my last Lower-league tournament. Newbies should get a chance to play It will boost up their confidence. I still remember my early days of splinterlands. I used to brag everywhere that I won a tournament and blah blah. That was sure a good time when my only wish was to defeat #bji and #raynie. I respect these 2 players I don't see them in lower league tournaments. You can only see them in big tournaments. But still, there are many good players with good cards playing lower leagues and snatching away goodies from new players.
Yea yea I know everything is fair in Love and war but there is the name of something called #ethics. So my Ethics won't allow me to play anymore. If I have some good cards I'd rather play silver tournaments and gold leagues. Now I can play gold tournaments but with hard struggle. For the Gold league, you need common level 8 cards and mine are just 5,6 or max 7. So they kill me with max sneak ability monsters oh man
Today when I saw one of my friend @sayee how she struggled for #bronze league tournament it pinched me deep down really hard so a decision was made and I decided to giveaway my winning DEC amount. But wait before that I want to show that player who is killing newbies with their greed.
Most of the good players are not showing up in the screenshot as they have had a bye in the qualifier round. Due to less number of matches, they are not showing up.
What's my point is We should give chance to new players this is why I am backing off and I even have given away my winning decs from this tournament. I am not a kid anymore I realise, I think before taking any decision and I act accordingly. I don't follow people blindly now. Already done pretty swear mistakes in pas so We learn from mistakes. I learnt there is nothing above than your values.

It would've been reasonable if you had given your prize to one or some of the newbies you're pitying, maybe sayee?
Anyways happy retirement life!
Yes, It was for all so instead of giving pity decs i wanted them to earn them by grace :P It's a luck that she didn't win. At least I tried :P

Low level tournaments are quite long yet fun. I don't mind seeing high level players playing in those though. It makes the game more challenging, I mean for those who play for the sake of the game. In the end people have to invest in some degree to see better results. Regards!
after the new update, they are not much time taking. But since I am a girl of my words will keep this decision. Thanks for stopping by and I appreciate your opinion.

its kind and nice of you to let new comers and low level card players like myself to play through the tournaments without one less advance player. I think you are hitting the key point as to why this game can not gain popularity. The greed by top players is forcing many who can barely earn enough DEC to stay in the game is being out gun and out power by top players who have amass top cards. Although the game is decentralized a major of the cards is own by a few. The challenge we face is how to balance the game so that new players stay motivated to playing while top players maintain their huge winnings. If this is solved I bet Splinterlands popularity will moon. Thanks.
I agreed this is why i took back step from novice and bronze all the best.

Awe, girl! You're just a good human!
For real, it's normal to feel that way... like you're NOT entitled to something just because it's there. The weird thing is, in online land it feels like MORE people are bad humans and often feel entitled to EVERYTHING. Again, it's a weird thing. I don't have these feelings of entitlement. I often joke about how I'd LOVE to have them, but just got the short end of the stick.
I don't think it has to do with 'growing up' either... unless all the adults around here are stuck in arrested development (honestly, I think this is true).
You are a good person. You would never create bots to 'get whatever you can' and you would never take rewards that are meant for newbies.
Thank you for being awesome.

I don't want you to quit dear. Experienced players like you are needed to teach the game to newbies and you are so good. So, don't feel bad and maybe you can do tourneys or host one exclusively for newbies maybe and still continue playing
I hope I'll be hosting tournament just for newbies I just hope thanks sayee. I guess I don't have this much time for tounys now. :P

Imho one should simply not be able to join tournaments 2 leagues (or more) below the league he/she is playing in.
