The Inner Beauty.
Decorating outward appearances didn't start from today. It started from way back...even in the time of Peter who wrote about those who wear gold, dressed in amazing apparels and adorning the outward looks. It has been in existence from way back and even till now.
Do you spend so much time and resources on the outward...yet get the results but the result is temporary? It's okay to look good but what have you invested on your inside? The outward man perishes but the inward man is renewed day by day. It's only wise to focus on building the inward more. It doesn't mean we can't look good on the outside...it only means we should spend more time on the inward than we would on the outward.
A gentle and a quiet spirit is very precious in the sight of God as 1 Peter 3:4 mentioned. Inner beauty encapsulates the inner beauty of the spirit; fruits of the spirit. The time we spend in building the outward...gym...beauty salon and all sorts, do we spend that amount of time also in the place of prayer? In God's house? Do we? Or we always check the time when it's past schedule of when we ought to have finished?
God will never justify unrighteousness to actualise His purpose.
Rachel was good of form and beautiful yet with questionable character with her blackmail and also stealing of the idols to smear Jacob all boiling down to her desperation to have a child. So many people are using the wrong parameters to judge people. God always look at the heart and humans focus too much on the outside. We judge a lot based on how people look forgetting that outward beauty doesn't translate into good character.
Most people go for the form and shape rather than the character. Outward beauty will fade at some point while the character stays. Rachel cannot be matched with beauty and form but she was a liar, manipulator and an idolatry.
Your beauty may draw people to you but your character would determine if you would keep them. People always see through the veil eventually and that would determine if you would be alone despite all your external adornment that wouldn't be able to save you.

You are absolutely right friend because what good is it to look good and look good but have a strong character and selfish, if we do well or bad we must always maintain simplicity because that speaks more of one than a simple appearance, power is not everything in life, in the end if you are rich or poor you leave this earthly plane and only the memories and marks that you left in people and only God knows when we do things from the heart, excellent reflection friend ♥

We focus on the outward and ignore the inward. Both need to be worked upon. I appreciate inward beauty more because that's what tells me who you are.
The inward tells us who we are...when we see those vested too much on the outward...it shows what their priorities are. Absolutely.
This is something to ponder on. So many people believe it is all about their appearance or how they look. We need to focus our attention on the inside, what will it profit you if you are good looking without a good character. It means your good looking is useless. But don't be surprised that most people don't care about their characters, it seems as though they have sold their character out.
Most people don't care about their character...you are right. Most people have sold their souls and damned everything. It's about how they look to them rather than how they are on the inside.
It's good to be beautiful both inwardly and outwardly. To be beautiful outwardly only is a vanity that will be burnt in hell fire.
It's vanity. It's okay to look good but it's bad when that's the only thing people focus on. It's good to build the inner man...be a person of good character.

There is no much how we pay attention to the outward appearance, it can't actually be like the inner beauty just like you said
God doesn't reason like humans that's why his judge is always perfect. He sees the heart while we humans focus more on the physical look which can be very deceptive.
And because we focus more on outward beauty, many have forsaken what their inner life should look like. These beautiful faces are just mere mirages, how well we invest in our inner self matters a lot.
Wonderful write-up, you actually give out a vital knowledge which people should know about and get it into their heads. The majority of the people living in the world today only care about how they look. Their appearance is only what matters to them. Forgetting that their character is what actually matters and not physical appearance.
What's beauty when the inner of us is nothing to write about, as humans we need more than just the physical beauty to live beautifully.
