NIGERIA MY COUNTRY

I come from the south-south region of Nigeria, Isoko North local government area of Delta state. I'm proud of who I am, and where I come from, so proud that I wear it like a medal, and hold it up high like a trophy.

It's not a lie that Nigeria is currently sinking as a result of bad leadership and corruption that has eaten into the system, but then I am a Nigerian, born into a long line of warriors, ready to soar and rise back up as the giant of Africa we truly are. If Nigerians have been known for one thing in history, it's courage, bravery, and strength, This isn't the first time Nigeria will be under the storm, and it certainly wouldn't be the last, but history has it that our ancestors weathered the storm, coming out strong every time the storm surfaces.

No matter how hard things are, Nigerians are generally known to be hopeful, always cheerful, and sharing good vibes... Wait a minute, we don't share good vibes, we share great vibes. I see a lot of country citizens always ranting and complaining about the faults of their government, (not that we don't complain we complain a lot) but Nigerians find a way to always rise out of the ashes, even in the storm, we always find something to laugh about.

On October 10, 2020, Nigeria experienced one of the greatest inhuman treatment in the history of a democratic government, where our government massacred peaceful protesters holding the national flag up high with the help of our own Army. Yet we rose above that and found reasons to laugh, not because we have forgotten, or are afraid, but because we are hopeful of a new Nigeria. Again on February 25, 2023, Nigeria experienced one of the greatest political robberies in the history of democracy, where an election was conducted, and rigged in broad daylight, yet we found things to laugh about, such as; Bala bulu, bulu bala, bla bla bla.... (Sorry to non-Nigerians reading this) if you don't understand, just pronounce it and smile....😂. not forgetting the currently trending word on the streets of Nigeria Eluuu P😂 The thing is we are a strong and formidable Nation, and at the same time, a happy nation. If the END SARS massacre couldn't stop us from creating moments of Joy, I wonder what can.

I love Nigeria, and if reincarnation is truly a thing, I will want to come back to this world again as a Nigerian living in Nigeria. I have been opportune to have traveled to a few places with nice views and great weather conditions, I have seen some really cool countries where citizens are really privileged, but then I remember that most of these countries face a level of harsh weather conditions, as well as environmental hazards that have never been experienced In Nigeria despite the rate of chemical and resource exploration that goes on in Nigeria. I will say we are truly blessed and privileged.

Despite the hard times, being in Nigeria has taught me I can survive in any country I find myself. The hardship in Nigeria's educational system that Nigerians survive makes us have an edge when we go to other countries with more easier and developed educational systems. It's as though the hardship has made us automatically go the extra mile in preparing for whatever we do in any field in life. For example, Lagos traffic is too bad that you will need to wake up at 3:00 am to prepare for an 8:00 am meeting. The educational system makes us prepare for exams whose courses were never taught in class; I mean the lectures never came to class for the entire semester, yet we end up passing these exams with flying colors. If we can pass exams we were never taught, what do you think we would do to exams that were diligently taught in class? I have personally experienced each of these things I mentioned, and with the right opportunity, I know Nigerians like me can succeed in anything, anywhere in the world.

Thanks again for stopping by my blog, until next time

One thing I love about most Nigerians is that we always find ways to move on despite the challenges we face all the time by our government. Whatever happens, we make jokes out of it and keep hustling to survive. I guess anyone who can survive in Nigeria can survive in other countries

The educational sector is another aspect the country is not trying but many Nigerian students are hardworking peeps who doesn't relent on the lectures to do their work properly before taking responsibility.

The resilient attitude of our people is one thing I can't trade for another when it comes to loving Nigeria. No matter the bad leadership we will definitely find a way out.

First of all, I appreciate the fact that you're proud to mention where you come from.
By the way, this is a nice post which you've shared your opinion.
Nigerian youths are very successful outside of the umbrella made and used in Nigeria.
