She Started It, But I Put An End To It

Usually, I'm not the type that is into pranking things, I do not have the nerves for such. Putting a friend through mysteries while I watched them in amusement and laughter, was never my thing. Or so I thought, until I met my roomie, Lizzy.

If you have a friend like her, I bet you won't let her take all the laughs all the time, it could get to a point when you get to fight and get your honor back in the pranking department hehe.

Aside from Lizzy's pranky tendency with her around me, school life was fun, there were no dulling moments ever as long as she was around.

We stayed together in our first year in college and since then we have become good friends even after we got separate lodges in our second year. We might live apart but we are always very close and connected.

In our first year together now and then, Lizzy never failed to scare some shit out of me through one form of prank or another.

There was a time she pranked me with a fake egg meal, I had got to find out only when I had positioned myself on the table to enjoy the delicacies before me. She laughed out hard and shouted April fool! And she won again that time.

Her favorite was hiding in our bathroom back door at night, then jumped out on me unaware at any chance she got.

Even though she knew I was afraid of the dark, not to talk of someone jumping on me like that unexpectedly. She would laugh so hard that tears would begin to drop from her eyes. "but not anymore, she makes sure she cured me of that."

There was a time she played me April fool, by making me leave my holiday before my usual stimulated time when she told me that she was very sick and needed my help. On hearing such, I left my home state and rushed back to school. Only to meet Lizzy in her hostel, hale and healthy smiling sheepishly. When I confronted her she told me that she was all alone at the hostel, her roommates had yet to resume and she needed my company so badly she had to trick me into coming.

That was it, the last one that broke my camel's back. I looked at her directly into her eyes and said "You know what, Lizzy, you started this prank thing but I'm going to be the one to end it." "So, if you think I'm letting this slide, you better think again".

She laughed out loud, I knew she thought I was joking but what I did next was beyond her imagination.

"She paused for a while, and said, no, you aren't going to pay me back, I know you have a forgiving heart."

It took me a few weeks to figure out a perfect payback for her.

The Trash Project

I have placed a circular around the hotel's rooms, telling everyone that Lizzy is undergoing A trash project and needs their help. All they needed to do for three days was drop their trash bags in front of her hostel door, of course, they were happy to help, who wouldn't want their trash bag taken care of.

I told them, they would have to do it anonymously, they would drop the trash whenever she was out of her hostel.

You and I know how trashy her life was in those three days after my announcement.

After that day she never played any form of pranks on me ever again, because I made sure she knew I was behind her nightmares.
