Art # 1: Turning my old traditional art to digital art
Hi everyone! this is my first time posting both here and on the whole hive blockchain so I might as well take this chance to make a brief introduction of myself. I am Ozaki, hive was introduced to me by my senpai @takyarts and joined the platform just last week. I love anime and art so expect that you'll always see me here and other communities based on these two. I usually draw 2D characters but I fell in love with 3D and that's what I've been practicing and working on these past few weeks.
Aside from that I also have a bit of obsession with luminance art these days haha. So lemme show you the first luminance art of my old artworks that I could say is a successful one.
Kageyama Shigeo (Mob)
Kageyama Shigeo from Mob Psycho 100. I saw him as a colored traditional art on Instagram last year and thought it was cool so I drew it too and displayed it in my room hehe. I tried hard to find the reference but I couldn't see it again, credits to that guy!
Here's the original traditional art
Drawing Process
- Take a clear picture of my traditional art
- Import it into medibang paint
- Use a bucket tool and color the whole layer below my traditional art into black
- Go back to Traditional art's layer- reduce the opacity to your liking but don't overdo it. And ready to go for glowwwsss!
- Add a layer above traditional art and change the blending mode into "Add"
- Afterward I imported the finished work on Lightroom for color and tonal correction.
Fin...
Looking forward to being friends with you all! 😊

Thank you for your warm welcome!😊
No doubts there, you got some serious skills !😀
thank you!😊
Hello, @weirdghost! This is @traciyork from the @ocd (Original Content Decentralized) curation team. We noticed you shared your first post here on Hive - congratulations and welcome! And well done - you definitely have some mad skills as an artist, and that digital version of your traditional art is awesome! :)
It would also be awesome if you could do a bit more of an introduction post, so our community can get to know you better. For an example of what an intro post is like, you can check out this one by my friend & curation team member -
Keeping Up With the Buzz - My Introduction to the Hive Community.
Speaking of community, we have many different ones here on the blockchain, devoted to all kinds of interests. Here's a link so you can check them all out - Hive Communities . I see you already found the Sketchbook community and you might be interested in the OnChainArt community as well.
Also, as Hive can sometimes be quite confusing, the newly launched Newbies Guide should be helpful to you, as it is a growing repository of useful and easy to understand posts about how the Hive ecosystem works.
Since you're new, you may run into an RC (Resource Credits) error when trying to comment/post because you don't yet have enough Hive in your account yet. For assistance with a temporary delegation to get you started, be sure to check out the Gift Giver site.
For now, @lovesniper will follow your account and we are looking forward to seeing your expanded intro post. Also, please mention (also known as tagging) @traciyork & @lovesniper in your intro post in order for us to be notified, so we can consider your post for OCD curation. Lastly, feel free to hop into the OCD Discord server if you have any questions!
Hello, sorry for this very late reply, classes just started yesterday and I got a bit busy...
Hive really was so confusing and complicated when I first came here. I just finished reading all the contents in the newbie guides and thanks to it and for those bloggers things such as rules, do's and don't, hive culture, hp, RC, HBD, formatting... everything is clear to me now, it was such a long long read but very worth it!
I'm already in OnChainArt too but I think my current art isn't qualified yet to be posted at OnChainArt it is still far from being at a professional level, I'm still amateur😁.
I'll start writing a proper introduction now
