Kitten. Ballpoint pen sketch

Greetings to the Crypto Community!

Today, I managed to steal a few minutes from my busy work schedule to practice my drawing skills.
Without any fancy art supplies at hand, I had to make do with a simple notebook and a black ballpoint pen.

For my reference, I chose a picture of an adorable kitten.
I began carefully, sketching out the kitten's outline.

Then, I moved on to shading the darker areas of the drawing.

Everything seemed to progress nicely until I noticed a mistake in the proportions of the animal.

In my sketch, the kitten's head ended up looking disproportionately small compared to the original image.
I tried to fix this by slightly shading the background to create a better balance.
You can see the progress in the screenshot above.

After that, I continued working on the details of the drawing.
Using a white marker, I added highlights to the kitten’s pupils to give its eyes more life.
I also attempted to “whiten” part of the shadowed area on the kitten's face, though I think that was a bit unnecessary in hindsight.

And so, here’s the final result.

In the accompanying photo, you can compare my drawing to the original image and see how close (or far!) I came.
